Chapter 8

There was no one around when I got home and I couldn't be more grateful. The reactions of my aunt and uncle worried me, but it was Fiona's that had me terrified. She was going to be beyond pissed.

Remembering the auction, I hurried to finish my chores so I could pick something to wear. It took me only an hour to clean up everything and as soon as I finished I went to my room.

I looked through the folded stacks of my clothing. There had to be something at least passible for tonight. My stomach sank as I searched. All my clothes were old and tattered. A lot of them had small holes in places. I could not wear this to the auction tonight.

I knew who would have something to wear. Fiona. She would never loan me anything to wear, not in a million years. Yet I needed something to wear. Perhaps if I asked Aunt Mia she would grab something of Fiona's for me. I could argue that if I went so poorly dressed it would make my uncle look bad.

hi I started reading this book and have been waiting for you to update it. just wanted to know if this book was one of those that I start and than the writer decides that there not going to finish the book.

The book is very good but how come it takes so long to get a chapter out. I started this book 4 weeks ago and I just now got a update. That is a long time to get an update.
