"It's been a while since we've talked." She could hear the exhaustion in his voice. He had been away for a month on a business trip and wasn't back yet. It was sudden that they didn't have the chance to say goodbye. Neither did they know it would be this long before they could see each other again.

"You've been so busy. I didn't want to interrupt your work," she whispered, taking a seat at the edge of the bed while keeping an eye on her one-night stand. It was partially true.
