Chapter 19 - Hitching a ride.

Libby POV

As we checked out of the bed and breakfast, I kept my eyes peeled for a sign that Pierce was nearby. After talking to another guest of the bed and breakfast, we managed to hitch a lift on the back of a pick up truck. Which was great for our efforts in getting as much distance covered in one day as possible but the only problem was now I fear I have lost Pierce.

He’ll struggle to keep up with a fast moving vehicle, even in wolf form. I don’t want him to get hurt pushing himself too much trying to keep up with this truck.

We had been traveling for a good few hours when the driver pulls up to a road side diner, informing us bluntly that he was stopping for food. That we can wait for him or move on.

He wasn’t charging us for petrol so we decided to join him for a break, to grab some hot food while we can.
