Chapter Twenty-Seven
That’s how it continued for the last few days. We walk towards the town, we stop and we practice. Never venturing further than the edge of it, no one seemed to ever look our way either.
My shield started to get better a bit everyday. Damien said it was starting to take a good majority of his strength to tackle me down. But I still landed on my ass either way.
Autumn left this morning before I had gotten up and I walked into her yard to find Damien waiting for me.
“Are we still going to town?” I asked him, looking around to see if Autumn had returned.
“No. We’re going to practice here today.” He replied, flashing me a lazy smile.
