Chapter 9

Sienna came to a complete halt when she heard this.

The original Sienna had frequently embarrassed herself in the past in order to cater to her fiancé, Quentin’s, preferences.

The original Sienna remembered clearly that she once learned from Clara that Quentin liked girls who were feisty and uninhibited. So, she wore a beautiful backless halter dress, but as a result, Quentin criticized her in public for being shameless!

At that time, the original Sienna watched as her fiancé took Clara’s hand in front of everyone and spoke up as if he was making an oath, “I only like the charming Clara.”

His real fiancée had ended up being a complete joke because of what he had said!

She never wore dresses again after that.

She was truly a silly girl.

A person that had no feelings for someone wouldn't bat an eyelid for them, much less care about what they wore.

Sienna shook her head.

Clara thought that she had hit Sienna’s sore spot, and there was a smug look on her face as she said, “Sienna, I have good intentions. After all, I know Quentin’s preferences.”

It was evident from her statements that she and Quentin had an ambiguous relationship.

Sienna smiled slightly and seamlessly, but each word that she spoke was harsh.

“So what if you keep referring to Quentin so affectionately? The main consideration in a marriage between an affluent family is if the pair is a good fit in terms of their social standing. You are nothing more than a sleazy third party in this marriage contract.”

One could say that Clara was physically and emotionally attacked by these statements.

“You…” Clara suppressed her anger and retorted, “How are you any better than me? You’re just a pathetic rich girl who is not welcomed and is hated by everyone!”

“You’re right on this point.” Sienna turned around calmly and gracefully as she said unhurriedly, “I own nearly half the shares of the Lang family, and I have several properties registered under my name. I have a value of more than a billion dollars. So, I guess I AM a ‘rich girl’.”

Though it was difficult to tell if she was pathetic or not, she was unquestionably wealthy!

After Sienna finished speaking, the corners of her lips curled up as she looked at Clara before she went to her room confidently.

Clara was enraged beyond words!

She finally became aware of the gap between herself and Sienna at this point!

'But just wait and see! You won’t be complacent for long!' Clara thought.

Clara had an inevitable smile on her face, as if she was sure to win, but at this moment, the maid shouted from downstairs, “Miss Clara, Mr. Quentin is here. He said that he wants to send you to school in person!”

“Alright! I’m coming down.”

Clara’s eyes flickered slightly. When she went downstairs, she deliberately used a pair of crutches and limped downstairs.

Quentin had just checked the time on his watch in the living room downstairs when he heard Clara exclaim. He rushed over and caught Clara, who almost fell, as he said in distress, “Why didn’t you call for me? Are you hurt?”

“No…”

Clara nestled in Quentin’s arms, and her eyes were somewhat red as she said, “It’s my fault for not getting enough sleep last night.”

“What happened? Were you crying?” Quentin instantly had a cold expression on his face as he said angrily, “Did Sienna bully you again?”

“No…”

“Clara, tell me the truth!”

Clara bit her lip and refused to say anything. Quentin was anxious, so he simply asked the maid next to them about it.

The maid instantly revealed all that happened yesterday and added extra information to the story because she had always benefited much from Clara.

“Miss Sienna has never taken Miss Clara seriously. She didn't only rob Miss Clara of her room yesterday, she also threatened to kick Miss Clara out of the Lang Mansion. She was really arrogant and domineering; even Mr. Keegan was powerless and could not do anything about her.”

“How outrageous!”

Quentin’s face was gloomy, and he had such a furious expression which looked as if he wanted to take someone down. Even his voice was slightly raised. “Where is she?”

Clara believed she had succeeded when she learned that Quentin was looking for Sienna to settle the score with her. However, she pleaded with him on the surface, “Forget it, Quentin. I’m dependent on others, and I am in a precarious position. It’s inevitable for me to suffer a little grievance.”

“How can that be? She is only picking on you because she can see that you’re kind and can be easily bullied. So, she will definitely become more and more aggressive. I will have to teach her a lesson today!”

After Quentin finished speaking, in the next second, he heard a melodious voice coming from the corner of the stairs.

“Whom are you going to teach a lesson to?”

The sound of footsteps sounded.

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound, and they saw a young girl on the spiral staircase. The girl was wearing a light green A-line dress. Her slender waist was particularly eye-catching, her skin as fair as snow, and her black hair cascaded down her waist.

She was so alluring, like an untarnished diamond that people could not take their eyes off of. Her face was delicate and flawless; she looked bright and alluring with a little makeup on, and she was so captivating.

Quentin struggled to hide the shock and disbelief in his eyes. “Sienna?”

This was Sienna?

In the past, she had never worn makeup, let alone dresses. She had always covered herself completely, and she was usually dressed in sportswear or casual clothing even when she attended banquets. So, she was ridiculed for being an uncultured hillbilly.

But now, she had undergone a great transformation from inside out, and even her aura had changed. She was stunning and eye-catching. People were instantly overcome with a sensation of estrangement as they realized she was out of their reach and unattainable.

Quentin was stunned. After a moment, he came back to his senses, and the look of surprise in his eyes faded. His eyes, though, were filled with disgust.

“Listen carefully, Sienna. I’ll not let you off lightly if you dare to bully Clara again in future!”

Sienna walked down the stairs slowly, and there was a clear and crisp sound with every step that she took on the stairs. It was like hitting the keys of a piano, striking one’s heart again and again.

Quentin looked at the girl who was approaching, and he was ready to deal with all of her nonsense.

As a result, Sienna simply walked past him and left directly.

It would be self-deprecating of her to give this trashy and useless individual her attention when she could knock him down with a single punch.

Sienna walked off without even sparing a single glance at him.

Quentin was stunned for a second, with disbelief written in his eyes!

She genuinely didn't care about him?

Even Clara was surprised by Sienna's lack of emotion and indifference when Quentin approached and questioned her because Sienna had always enjoyed being around him and held him in great esteem.

How was Clara supposed to carry on with her one-man show?

Clara secretly gritted her teeth, but she did not show it on her face.

“Quentin, take me to school now, otherwise I’ll be late.”

“Sure.”

The both of them walked out of the gate of the Lang Mansion hand-in-hand, like a couple.

Quentin personally opened the car door and helped Clara to get into the car before he fastened her seat belt for her thoughtfully.

When Quentin’s car arrived at the gate of the mansion, Sienna was standing by the roadside.

She was taking a taxi.

It was ironic—she was the legitimate daughter of a wealthy family, yet she had no money. Keegan had canceled her previous credit card, and the drivers who were free at home had also been ordered to not chauffeur her.

Keegan was trying his best to make things difficult for her so that she would hand over the 40% of the shares in her hands to him obediently.

She thought silently, 'Did Keegan think that I would be afraid? No. I will only let him and everyone else regret this.'

Sienna waited patiently for the taxi as she let the cool wind blow at the corner of her dress.

Not too far away, Clara, who was sitting in the passenger seat, saw Sienna by the roadside at a glance and said, “Quentin, why don’t we pick Sienna up? She is still your nominal fiancée after all. We cannot leave her by the roadside alone.”

Quentin refused without hesitation. “I feel sick when I see her. So, how can I let her dirty my car?!”

As soon as his words fell, he saw a top luxury car worth at least sixty million dollars slowly pulling to a stop in front of Sienna…
