Chapter 7

Lili’s POV

I came out from my room, dressed and ready to go to school but found no one in the living room. I glanced at my wristwatch and it read 8:15 AM and  Nana’s still not out from her room yet so i decided to check on her. I knock three times on her door but no one answers. I waited a little while and knocked again but still, nothing. 

“Is she sick?” 

I mumbled to myself. Or maybe she’s still asleep? I heard that she went out from her room late at night to watch tv and heard her went back to her room really late to. I’m about to walk away when I heard groans and soft moans from her room. Instead of knocking again, I went inside her room and I can hear her groans grtting louder and when i reached her bed, I saw her moving and wiggling her feet all around while she’s catching her breath like she’s being stranggled with. I can also see her sweats running down from her face to neck then lower. I immediately came closer and trued waking her up.

”Nana...Nana!”

I held her shoulders and tried to lift her up but I can’t. She won’t stop moving and I can’t even get a ahold of her.

”Nana! Nana! Nana!”

I keep on calling her name and tried to hold her face but she won’t wake up. Then she grimaced like she’s been hurt somewhere so I tried to check on her if she’s hurt somewhere but none. I kept on calling her name, trying to gently tap her face until her body relaxed a bit, still catching her breathe. I also relaxed a bit but that wasn’t too long when she mentioned a name that gave me shivers.

”Sanguinex.”

I looked at her, wide eyes. Then suddenly she became calm and deep in sleep but I was sitting there, unmoving. Did she just mentioned his name? How did she know him?Did they meet?  I was in the middle of questioning myself when I felt a presence behind me and its not just an ordinary presence but the overwhelming one. I composed myself and tried to talk despite my whole body and voice trembling.

”H-how did you g-get in?”

”Windows.” he simply answered. I looked at Nana’s windows only to find it close. Before I could eveb think of a question when he spoke again. “Livingr oom.”

That makes sense. But what is he doing here? How did he knew Rinaiane?

”What are you doing here?”

”Saw you in the mall a few days ago. With her.”

He’s probably pertaining to Nana. I stared at Nana’s calm yet sweating face while still being still on my spot.

”How did you even came here? You’re not supposed to be here.” 

“Why?”

”Because you don’t belong here.”

”And so are you and her. We don’t belong here.”

I can feel him walking towards the bed until I his figure standing beside the bed and his hands are reaching out to Rinaiane and caressed her face gently. I slowly look up and see his whole face. His jet black hair are still shiny and messy, his thick eyebrows, his long eyelashes, to his pointed noise, red, thin lips down to his perfect jawline.

”Done checking me out?” 

He said and smirked. I rolled my eyes at him, showing him my annoyed facial expression. He just giggled atmy reaction but still caressing Rinaiane’s face gently. 

“How did you know we live here?”

I asked trying to get rid of the tensed atmosphere, although its just me, him and Rinaian, who’s sleeping peacefully.

”Her parents told me.”

”You visited them?”

”Yeah, with Bella.”

I turned to him, wide-eyed. 

“With young miss? Where is she now? Is she here?”

I bombarded him with questions becauseU was beyond surprised and worried hearing the young miss’ name.

”At Rin’s house. I left her there.”

”You left her?!”

I half-shouted, half-whispered, questioned him. I immediately covered my mouth when Nana moved and I thought she’d wake up but thankfully she didn’t. I looked over to him and found him glaring at me. I raised my eyebrow on him then rolled my eyes. Silence overcame us and we are just staring at Nana while she’s sleeping with him caressing her hair.

We spent a few more minutes with that situation when we heard the door opened. Instinctively, I stood up and positioned myself into my fighting position but I was puzzled when I saw hik in the corner of my eyes, still in his same position and still staring and caressing Nana’s hair. My attention drew back to the unknown person approaching us and when I can hear him getting closer and closer, I readied myself to attack but I was halted on my spot when I can clearly see the person. 

“Brother..”

”Lili...”

I just found myself frozen on my spot while looking at my brother standing before me with his uniform. His butler uniform, I might say. The I heard a chuckle behind me so i immediately glared at him.

”What?” I irritatingly asked him but he just shrimugged his shoulders and continue to what he’s doing.

I looked back at my brother and was about to greet him cheerfully when I noticed his dark aura. I can see his glare and when I followed his sight, it pointed towards my beige-colored tennis skirt that lands right above my knees and that’s when I knew, I’m in troubled. I looked back at him and smiled nervously.  

“Hehe..”

I was ready to accept all his scoldings when I heard him just sighed and faced his direction. O...kay... That was weird, why isn’t he acolding me? What happened?

”Young master, we have to go back. You g miss is laready waiting for us.”

”What about her?” he asked still his attention is all on Nana.

”They will be back home this weekend.” My brother stated and then looked at me. “They will be called this evening and will be sent home for the weekend.”

”Why?” I, unconciously, asked. Bill looked at me.

”She need to know everything.”

”What do you mean?”

”Her parents decided to tell her everything this weekened because they are on the move.”

”But-“

”She’s under the illusion right now.” 

i was betond shocked at what I heard. Then I remembered what just happened earlier and tht’s when everything seems to make sense.

”Fortunately, young master got in in the illusion and was able to get her out there before she could sank in deeper.”

”What will happen to her now?” I asked worriedly.

”She’ll be fine.” He said. I looked at him and now he’s caressing her hair for the last time and walked away from her “ Her body is just recovering from the effects of the illusion but she’s fine now. Just let her rest for the rest of the day.”

He walked to my direction and when he’s standing beside me, he raffled my hair a bit.

”You take care, piggy. Their on the move.”

I hit his hands that was raffling my hair and glared at him but i can olny see his back. 

“Never call me piggy again.” I said, annoyed.

He just waved hi hand dismissively and went out of the room. I pouted at how he teased me by calling me piggy. My brother walked towards me and fixed my raffled hair then he kissed my forehead gently.

”Be careful, Lili. Call me when something’s wrong, okay?” he said and nodded. I immediately hugged him tightly which he did in returned before letting me go. “I have to go. I love you.”

”I love you, too.” teary-eyed, I replied. He kissed me one last time and left. I tried to calm myself down by taking a deep breath and exhaling. I looked over at Nana who’s still asleep, more like unconscious. 

Think about it, weird things are starting to happen around us especially when Fino appeared. Remembering his face and mentioning his name just made me mad. That bastard. I’ll never let him go near Nana again, I swear. I approached Nana and fixed her comforter. I looked at my watch and read 9:00 AM in the morning, which means I’m already late. Well, I’ll just skip calsses today, I won’t leave Nana’s side.
