Chapter 53: A sneak out

Isabella felt the urge to know why she had been claimed early, despite her impurity and being underaged . Her mother had told her that she needed her heart to be free, not loving anyone and not having any intimate contact with any man before 25years of age, but she had received the gifts before the age expected and even after her being defiled by Alexander.

She knew she needed answers ,and Lady seraphina was the best woman at the point. She knew Alex had seen her being claimed , coupled with some trusted loyal men, but none had asked her about it. She didn't want to tell her father just yet until she was sure about what was going on.

As Isabella reached Lady Seraphina's chambers, by night in Adernia, she gently tapped on the door, hoping to catch her attention without drawing too much attention from the palace guards. Lady Seraphina, recognizing the urgency in Isabella's presence, opened the door swiftly and welcomed her inside.

"My dear Isabella, what brings you here in such secrecy,
