Chapter 9

I was busy reviewing the lesson here in my room. I didn't bother to go down because Rod was still there. It was lunch time and I was surprised when he knocked my room.

"I prepared your lunch already,"

"T-Thank you," I stammered.

"I'll go ahead," he said but I didn't answer. There was no noise outside the door. I feel like he's gone.

I held my breath. Rod can easily take my breath way. I don't know how he does it.

I came down from the living room and he was gone, not even his car. In the kitchen, the food he cooked was already on the table.

I smiled and was excited to taste those. I thought at first we didn't get along but here he cooked me food.

He's really intimidating but sometimes sweet. No one still knows in this house about us.

I don't want attorney to find out and make her upset. I don't want her to think that I'm a bad woman or that I'm seducing her only son.

After I ate, I just reviewed and edited some chapters in the research paper.
