Throw Back:

The sight of Anna at the tree line had William staring in shock. She didn't look to be hurt, and his frown only deepened as he watched a smirk form on her lips. General Mains had dashed over to her, shouting orders for someone to get the healers even though she seemed fine. It wasn't like he didn't care for his sister, he did but something seemed different about her.

Gripping the sword strapped to his hip, William looked around the tree line. Something didn't seem right to him. Sliding his arm through Abagail's grip, he laced his fingers with hers. The air was deadly still, and no sounds could be heard apart from those of General Mains' voice. As he watched his beloved sister, a chill ran down his spine at her next action. Grabbing the small dagger on Mains' hip, she swiped it across his throat effectively cutting open his neck. Blood oozed out of the wound drenching his once crisp white uniform, red.

Tightening his grip on his sword, William turned towards his men as the sounds of shouts came from the tree line.

"Retreat!" He yelled.

Screams from the healers echoed throughout the field, as a few bloody cries rang in his ear. Turning around William was confronted with a Rogue wielding a sword. Swinging the sword above his head, the Rouge aimed down at the Prince with all his might. Before the blade could connect with the Prince and possibly inflict damage, William jumped out of the way just as the blade passed over him. Pulling his sword out of its sheath, he swung towards the Rogue as he tapped into Zor, causing the blade to slice open the Rogue's stomach.

Breathing heavily, William looked around at the scene in front of him. Riders were getting killed, and their Dragons were trying desperately to save people around them. But that wasn't what had caught his eye. Standing in the middle of the field with Markus, was Abagail. His grip tightened on the sword as he started making his way towards her. He couldn't let her die, not when he still had so much he needed to do with her.

As he got closer, William's breath caught in his throat as he watched Markus push his sword through Abagail's stomach. The look on her face was pure horror, as the blade was removed and blood ran out of the open wound.

Gritting his teeth, William started to run towards her. "Retreat!" He shouted. Rushing closer to her, William looked across the field at Matthew."Get everyone out of here!" Shouted William.

Nodding, Matthew instructed his Dragon to help the wounded and the healers out of harm's way. Skidding to a stop beside Abagail, William fell to his knees as he gripped her body. She was cold, her body slightly shaking in shock.

"Zor get her out of here!" He screamed. The sound of a dragon's roar broke through his thoughts, as Abagail's body started to heat up. Colour started to return to her body but the wound was still heavily bleeding.

Landing on all fours in front of them, Zor was quick to lay on his stomach. Picking Abagail up, William ran towards his Dragon before gently placing her onto the saddle. Getting on behind her, he gazed at the scene. Rogues covered the once-empty field, with Dragons struggling to carry the weight of the remaining survivors. Gritting his teeth, William looked at the remaining riders.

"Follow me to safety!"
