Chapter 14 ___ Ace King's Wife

" May I have your name, Mam?"

The guard from the gate questioned me, eying at me suspiciously. I mean, they had every right to do that since they never saw me before. I came to the old house where some old staff members had gathered to pay respect to Ace's mother.

After he took me like a cave man, I went to take snacks downstairs. At that time, the house maid told me about the funeral ceremony that no one was attending. I knew that Ace never liked his parents but it was too harsh to ignore someone who had been dead already. The housemaid shared her sorrow about not having any family members to attend the ceremony. I knew that it was useless to request Ace to come here. So, I took the charge in my own hands, and arrived to pay respect in a black satin dress.
