Oshey woke to an empty room, cautiously she ventured from the bed. "Kasper," she called out, steadying her weight on the thick oak dresser. There was an oversized men’s shirt on the edge. After slipping it on, she looked at the distance between her and the door and started walking to it; she caught the handle for support. She opened the door looking down the long hallway. There was no noise coming from the house, it seemed like she was alone. She walked toward the stairs using the wall as a brace. "Hello?" she called out. Still, nothing came back to her.
She sat on the top step looking down at the foyer. "Okay. I can do this." She moved down the steps one by one letting her bum rest on each step. By the time she got to the bottom, she knew something had to be wrong if Kasper was not here. As she stood the front door
She blushed, turned away from him, and sat on the couch. "Why is that?" There seemed to be a pull toward Quinn and Oshey wasn't entirely against fighting it."I just do. It is not often I get the company I find interesting.” Quinn leaned to the desk.“I was thinking, last night you said some mean things about my friends, but I think you are right about one thing." Oshey looked at her hands."What's that?" Amusement surrounded Quinn as he thought about the fight they had.Looking across the room her eyes touched Quinn’s. "I think Paul drugged me for Patches."Quinn nodded, walking from around the desk to sit on
Jimmy stretched slowly, working out the stiffness in his legs. He rolled his head across his shoulders, popping the vertebrae. The sound filled the silent room with an eerie tension. He glanced at his wife sitting on the deck, "Hey baby.""I know what you are going to ask, so I may as well tell you the whole story. Jimmy, sit down and just remember no matter what I say or tell you, keep an open mind?""In all the years we have been married, have you ever known me not to?" He thought about his words for a moment. "Never mind, okay, I promise to keep all avenues open and my mouth shut.""Do you remember after the third murder how the streets seemed so quiet? It was like the calm before the storm.""Yes, I remember. You and I had our hands full with the press and the mayor's office. It was a hurry-up-and-wait game we were playing back then. As I remember, Maggie from the reserve was positive the tooth she found in the third body was from a large canine. I also recall Curtis too
It was nearly 0500 when Jimmy walked into the squad room. His eyes were bloodshot and the dark circles under his eyes showed the stress of the night. He slammed the door to his office before flopping into the chair. He didn't even look as he reached for the coffeepot behind him. He also poured the cup without looking."You look like shit." His partner Natalia commented with a hint of amusement."I just spent the last several hours with Miss 'I'll have your badge if you don't catch this killer' Mayor." Jimmy sank into his chair with a heavy sigh."That bad huh?""You could say that. She wants a city-wide curfew enforced by Friday if we don't have any leads." Jimmy
Yada woke with the sounds of bass ringing in her ears. Slowly she opened her eyes to flashes of green and red. She wasn't thinking of the man, she wasn't thinking of Jake, she was thinking of the pain the music was causing. She tried to move her hand but found it didn't respond. "What the," she mumbled."Ah, good you're awake." A deep voice fell over her."Where am I?" Yada struggled to speak. Her throat felt dry."Home," he said, looking at her smaller body."What do you mean," she said, squinting through the green light. Yada narrowed her eyes trying to focus on the man."I brought you here, this is where you belong," James said.Yada focused on a figure standing near her feet. "Who are you?""I have had many names over the years, but you can call me,” he thought for a few seconds. “Daddy."Yada inhaled sharply. "You're insane.""Awe that is, so sweet of you to notice. But flattery will get you nowhere, Shadow Walker." Janes smirked as he sat beside the table where Yad
Hello Readers, I am sorry for the delay in posting and updating. Where I live recently had severe weather. I moved my family out of the path of the storm and ended up in a location with limited wifi and cell service. Today I am moving the family and RV/caravan to a new campground and will have a connection again. I will start updating daily provided the weather and family remain stable. At this time, if there are any questions or comments, please ask them or leave them. I would like to hear from you. Also, my version of werewolf/wolfin is different from the mainstream genre. If you have questions about the universe I created, please feel free to ask them. Thanks, Michelle
September 26I don't know what's going around here anymore. One-week Oshey is hard to live with and the next she is mellow. I give up on figuring out anything about anyone I live with. I think from now on I will just hide in the basement. On a side note, Kasper has been a big help with my research. He seems to be handling Oshey and Quinn's friendship better. When he is down here, we get along. I can see he is worried about his friend. Sometimes I think he worries too much about the little tart.I don't know why I don't like Oshey. I just don't. She is like oil to my water. We will never mix. I thought at first it was because of the way Quinn looks at her, and then I figured Quinn could do as he pleased. But lately, I think it is because Osheys powers are growing and she isn't willing to listen to me for help.I think I need to get out of this house more. I think I am going crazy here.~~~~Patches moved to the door opening the screen. "There you are. I have been looking
"No!" Oshey screamed, fighting her blanket. "No, get away from me!”The bedroom door burst open and Quinn, Kasper, and Sam rushed in. Quinn went to her side"He is here. He is in the house. Help me, please." She said finally waking up from the nightmare."Oshey, who is here?" Quinn asked, placing his hand on her cheek."Night Sorrow, he is here, he was just here," she was confused. "Where is Patches?"Kasper walked closer to the bed before looking back to Quinn. "Oshey, it was a dream, you are safe, there is no one but us here." Quinn stood and walked to the window pulling the curtain closed.
"Now when I say do something, do it; otherwise, it only gets worse. I'm sure you know where you are, and you must know no one will find you and save you. So let us begin again. "Stand up." He watched as she stood up slowly. "Good."Oshey looked through her one good eye to see him sitting there fondling himself. She drew what moisture she could and spat in his eyes. "Fuck you."He grinned, wiping away the spittle. "In all my years running with this pack of wild mutts, I have been the one to deal with your type. Judging them as worthy of serving our cause, or deeming them play toys for the scum that lines the pits below. I can make, or break you, it's all up to you." He moved closer, walking in circles around her and noticing the bruises along her buttocks and thighs. Bruno was indeed a big boy to handle."I should kill you right now, and be done with you, but that would be far too easy. So I have an idea instead." He moved up behind her and in the darkness of the room took fro
