I watched Rhiannon sneak out with that stupid boy off to goddess know where, but right now, I needed to help these people. They needed our help and even though I didn’t want to, now I had to.

“We will stay a few days and maybe go for hunts. Set up tents or whatever you can and we go hunting later,” I stated before walking away as I tried to pick what was the best way for me to win over the little girl.

“How many men do you have who can fight?” I asked the alpha of the pack after I met him in the pack house.

“Fifty or more. Why?” He narrowed his eyebrows.

“Fifty men and you couldn’t defend yourselves against rogues?” I furrowed my eyebrows.

“What?”

He had a look of confusion as he looked at me, “Rogues? Who said it was rogues?” He asked me.

“Well, we were told rogues attacked you. That’s why we plan ongoing for hunts tonight,” I retorted as the man scoffed, shaking his head.
