Alisa looked pale as she stared at Batya. She looked at me in disbelief then looked at Batya once more, unable to speak.

She couldn't believe that who she was staring at was Batya but the clear resemblance was enough proof.

“Is that.." she stuttered in shock, taking a step toward us. Alisa looked at me in shock, then looked at Batya who was glaring fiercely at the guards.

I hold Batya’s shoulders to calm her. " Remember what we talked about,” i whispered to her and zhe nodded her head softly. She grew sheepish as she looked at the guards.

“I'm sorry. But don't come close to my mama,” Batya apologized while warning them.

I wanted to smile at hoa protective she was over me, but I was too nervous to do that.

I was yet to see Daciana and a part of me was still afraid. I only sent her the letter ahead of time to inform she and Arnou of my return. And I told her of the only reason I was returning and why I had taken Batya.
