Atlas's POV

The moment I stepped into the house, I instantly felt that something was wrong. My heart started beating faster as I walked deeper into the house.

The entire house was quiet and that was unusual. I couldn't hear Batya’s excited voice as she explained something to Heyley as usual, I couldn't hear Heyley replying to Batya’s excited screams.

And the fact that I couldn't feel Batya’s magic around like I used to before didn't make things better. It was like they suddenly disappeared.

I could tell that no one was home.
