Chapter 17: Mr. Reed's Country House

Sarah could not believe her eyes when they arrived at Mr. Reed's country house. It was enormous. It looked a lot like the ranches she used to see in some of her Nana's Mexican soap operas.

It had a lot of green; the house itself was too big to even see where it ended, and there was this beautiful garden outside that she fell in love with instantly.

Benjamin rushed inside, grabbing his toys and calling Sarah to see his room. She was mesmerized by every single thing.

The rustic side of it all pleased her a lot. She loved the city, but she always wondered what would it be like to live in a small town, with nature everywhere. A place where she could take Nana to breathe the fresh air, see the little birds singing outside every morning, and pick flowers from the garden.

That was a sight she could imagine herself into. But she'd never have a chance to afford a house in such a place. Especially not one like that. She took some pictures and sent them to Nana before she unpacked her things.
