Chapter Eighteen

“How are you feeling?” Dylan asked, his voice still breathless. “Did I…hurt you?” He almost sounded scared. He leaned up against his elbow to gaze down at me with a worried expression on his face. “Please Hera, tell me, did I hurt you?” His eyes flitted across my face and a soft smile broke out on my face. I shook my head at him my hand reaching up to touch his handsome face.

“You didn’t hurt me, Dylan, I promise.” I said, caressing his smooth skin softly.

He kissed the inside of my wrist and then my palm before brushing away the few strands of stray hair on my forehead. He was now hovering above me but was careful enough not to rest his shoulder on me but rather on his elbows.

“Are you sure? You look a bit…” he trailed off.

“Yes, I’m sure. I’m just a little sore but I heard that’s normal the first time. I’ll be fine.”

“Are you sure? Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Are you thirsty? Should I get you something to drink? Some painkillers?” He asked and I shook my
