TEN YEARS LATER.

Madine stormed into the living room and then grabbed her car keys before Nadine who was running behind her could do so.

“Why are you so selfish? My car is ruined but you won't give me your car. Are you not aware that I can't take the public bus!” Nadine sobbed.

It had been ten years but Nadine hadn't stop blackmailing her with her poor health. Madine has had to cope with her twin sister for years. She had tried to be patient and considerate but there are times like now when she gets frustrated.

"Nadine don't forget that I got this car with my hard-earned money while Mom and Dad got you one. Right now I need to get to work, let me go.” Madine rubbed her forehead and then grabbed her bag when her dad’s voice stopped her.

“Why are you so selfish Madine? Your sister needs your car to go to the job interview, why can't you take the bus?” Her dad walked down the stairs with a frown on his face.

The words weren't new to Madine. After Nadine got kidney disease, she had become the eyes of their parents. Sometimes, Madine tried to understand but in the end, she was just human.

“I have to get to work too Dad,” Madine argued.

“You can take the public bus while Nadine takes your car. Didn't we teach you to love and protect your sister? Why are you becoming stubborn these days.” Her mom walked down the stairs as well and joined her father.

Madine sighed.

“Mom, Dad, this is my car and I have the right to choose when I want to give it to Nadine. Order a cab for her, I have to get to work now.” She bowed her head before turning around and walking out. She noticed that Nadine was no longer in the living room but that did not bother her.

“Madine, when did you become this heartless!” She heard her mom shout behind her but she did not stop.

She got into her car and drove out of the compound.

Madine was already twenty-three years old and she was done with college after studying Art and design. She was able to get a job at a small design shop although her goal was to work with the biggest jewelry design company in the country, TC GlITTERS.

After Trenton Hudson had promised to come back for her, she kept herself. It was just a kid's promise but Madine took it seriously. She had kept his pictures around her room and drew him whenever she got the chance. Madine was a talented artist.

“One day I am going to escape from my family. One day I will have someone who will love me and care for me.” She wiped the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. Her heart was still heavy hence she decided to buy coffee to keep her refreshed. However, she had to make a turn at the street.

The moment Madine made the turn, a big vehicle appeared in front of her. It was so sudden but she managed to step on the break but it didn't work. The big vehicle in front of her was coming at full speed and wasn't going to stop hence Madine motioned her car in another direction.

Unfortunately, it was the bush. Her heart rang in her chest and almost fell out of her body when her car started to slip through the rough bushes. The next moment, her car hit a tall thick tree causing havoc. Madine passed out at the same time.

Meanwhile;

It was Sunday night but Trenton Hudson hadn't gone home. He sat in his office flipping through some files. The company was to launch new designs and he was going through thousands of samples sent over from the designing team. However, none of the designs match his taste. Something was missing about them. Just when he was flipping through, Ronaldo walked into the office.

Ronaldo was Trenton’s uncle and also his doctor and personal assistant. Ronald was the only one that Trenton could trust after the death of his father. He had enemies everywhere.

“I brought you food.” Ronaldo set the flask in front of him and opened it.

The moment Trenton inhaled the scent, he quickly covered his nostrils and looked away.

“What the fuck did you cook this time?!” He shouted.

“Did you just use the f-word for the meal I cooked you for two hours?!” Ronald raised his eyes.

“You stress a fifty years old plus man yet all he gets is an eye roll and the f-word?!” The older man chuckled while Trenton peered at the food he had brought.

There were many combinations in it. No wonder it smelt terrible. Many maids had been in the house of Trenton but in the end, they all come to either kill him or get him to impregnate them. Male chefs are the worst. Hence Trenton could only rely on Ronaldo to prepare his meal.

“This is why you should get married, you need a woman to take care of you.” Ronald spat, he had been meaning to bring the subject in but Trenton always shunned him.

“Why haven't you gotten married, uncle?” Trenton raised his perfect face. His jawline was as sharp as the jade stone. He had grey eyes that almost looked like blue. But they weren't blue. One could already see the uniqueness at one glance.

“Don’t change the subject, boy!” Ronald snapped making him chuckle.

“Anyway, I am going to get married. I am ready to claim her now. I have been so busy with work that I don't have time to claim her as mine but now is the time.” Trenton smiled looking into space. He had grown up with no friends hence he could never forget the girl who saved him at the ocean and also promised to keep his secret if he married her.

It was time to get her and marry her.

He remembered she was a designer, it was time to bring her to the company too.

“Who are you talking about, boy?” Ronald had been looking at him, he was smiling just thinking about her. Who was that woman? She must be special to have Trenton Hudson smiling like this. Especially because Trenton was a cold billionaire who everyone thought was gay since he had never had a woman in his life.
