She was finding it difficult to stand on her own as she uses Hilary's neck for support, crossing her hand over it.
The pain she was feeling was intense with her cloth dripping wet, which doesn't seem to be normal to her. Hilary, on the other hand, was confused on what to do next.
‘Should I change her wet dress first or take her to the hospital like that?’ Hilary thought with in herself, doubts and confusion written all over her. She has not experienced something like this before, and she seems so naive about it, anyone would have noticed this.
“Elite, get Megan a new dress and be fast about it…” Hilary hissed out, clearly frustrated from confusion. In the next few minutes, Elite was rushing down with a new dress for Megan as ordered.
Megan doesn't look like she would stop her writhing and groaning any time soon due to the unbearable pain beneath her pelvic area, it hooked her so much, giving her no time to express herself.
“Why does she need a new dress now, ma'am? We are supposed to rush her to the hospital before this get out of hand.” Elite said in a humble tone, trying not to sound rude to her boss. “I guess she's experiencing pain in her pelvic area which is bad, cause water breaking does not bring any pain.”
Hilary has no time to think about what Elite had just said. “I was thinking she won't be comfortable with wet clothes on. She is in pain already, the wet dress might add discomfort to her pain. Don't you think so too?” Hilary asked, her voice wasn't any way calmer than it was at first.
“Oh, I guess so.” Elite nodded as she concurred to her boss saying, not wanting to argue words with her since it's improper to do such.
Without wasting any more time, Elite changed Megan's clothing with the help of Hilary and in a few minutes, they were done.
“Go get the needed material, Elite. We need to hit the road right away.” Hilary uttered.
“It's in the car already, ma'am. I make sure of that myself.” Elite replied almost immediately.
“Don't worry, Meg. We'll get you to the hospital soonest, okay?” Hilary consoled, when she's aware, she might not get any response from Megan. Megan was considerate enough to only nod her head slowly in response.
With the help of the driver and the chef, Megan was made to sit at the back of the car with Hilary and Elite by her side. They were either rubbing her waist and abdominal area slowly or muttering consoling words to her.
Soon after they got to the hospital, Megan was already on the stretcher as she rolled away to the labor room by the doctor and some nurses too.
Hilary was impatient, and her facial expression was clouded with worries and confusion. How is she supposed to get over it, if anything should go wrong or happen to Megan and the babies?
Hilary's thinking was in chaos as she finds it difficult to think straight, feeling as if she has lose her sanity.
‘This is bad!’ She thought within her self and facepalming herself as well. ‘This is really bad.’
“You shouldn't beat yourself up too much, ma'am. Everything is going to be fine…” That was Elite's concerned voice. Hilary could only let out a deep sigh, not giving any reply or acknowledging Elite's statement.

“Are there any complications, doctor? Please tell me, I need to know.” Hilary rushed her words immediately she entered the doctor's private office, wearing an impatient look.
The doctor had summoned her into her office to have a better discussion with her, it's more professional when it's discussed in the doctor's office compare to having a talk with her in the waiting room.
“Please, do calm down, Mrs. Zahan.” The doctor cajoled slowly. “And do have your seat, at least.”
Hilary wanted to hesitate but another calming and pacifying look from the doctor, she quickly had her seat. “How is Meg, doctor? Is she under any complication?” Hilary asked, like she has been chased by a greater force.
“I can't call it a complication, Mrs. Zahan. It's just one of the babies pressing it head on the mother's pelvic part, and that was the reason for the pain she was feeling earlier.” The doctor explained slowly and calmly like the professional she is.
Hilary let out a sigh, but neither the doctor nor Hilary herself can tell if it's a relief sigh or something else. “How is she now? It's clear that she might be in labor soon, that is, if I'm correct?” Hilary treaded her words slowly like she is afraid to say something illegal or harsh.
“First, we've found a good way to calm her down off the pain, that's the mostly important part as of now.” The doctor speaks with professionalism laced in her voice, no one would have mistaken her for any other occupation.
“That seems like good news for a start, I guess.” Hilary uttered, running her fingers in her hair calmly. “What's next online after that?”
“Her contraction is likely to come earlier than expected leading to early labor, maybe in the next seven to twelve hours, which is rare. But don't worry, Mrs. Zahan, we will keep her under close observation to notice and avoid any strange development.” The doctor, whose name was Ms. Arielle, cajoled in her usual voice. “We will also be running another sonogram to check for any complications, we can't rely on our instinct only.”
“That's very thoughtful of you, Ms. Arielle. I'll implore you to do anything within your capability to get her out of danger, if any.” Hilary muttered, almost in a mixed tone of pleading and desperation. “And if it's going to cost me a whole lots of money, I don't mind, because I'm ready to pay.”
“It's sound as if you are reminding me of my job…” Ms. Arielle voice was plain and calm, adding no much meaning to her said words.
“That's not it, it just that…” Hilary trailed off, with no interest of saying any more words. She is only concerned about Megan and babies’ safety, nothing more.
Hilary is aware of how many lives that are on the line if any slight danger should be detected, she can't afford to lose either one of them. The babies and Megan herself, she isn't that cruel not to at least have human emotions in her.
It's past six hours already, the day was getting darker and the sun, it's self, is already setting. Hilary won't stop pacing down the waiting room, thick tension hanged like a ticking bomb on the air.Hilary only saw the doctor entered the labor room with few nurses, giving her no room to question. Hilary understood the situation at hand, without being told, her instinct keep ringing to her that something is off.All she could hear was faint screaming and groaning from Megan, her voice was faint because it was coming from behind a closed door, that was Hilary's thinking. With the same pace, the doctor used in entering the labor room, the same way she rushed out after thirty minutes or more.“We need to talk, Mrs. Zahan. Where is your husband?” Ms. Arielle asked with emergency laced in her voice. “You both decision is what we need now.”Hilary followed the doctor closely like an obedient servant to the doctor's private office, this time she was finding it difficult to sit and was glad
It's been three days since Megan was discharged from the hospital, Hilary has always made sure she lacks nothing both in attention and care.Seeing that Megan is physically okay than she was before, she decides it time to resume her work. She knows the type of tight schedule she will be having, coupled off with her absence from work. It's a new week, Hilary was still dressing up for work. Dwayne decided to seize the opportunity to have a few talks with Megan. Using the contract to start a conversation isn't a very bad idea to him.“You should know how hectic and time-consuming our work is, Megan.” Dwayne muttered. This was the first time he would be speaking to her since months now. When he return back from his business trip few days ago and pay her a visit at the hospital, he did not even spare her a glance twice nor utter a single word to her. He only smiled and mumbled few words to the babies, nuzzling their nose too.Dwayne's thinking was he would not get the chance to meet Megan
“Can I see it? The ledger and the iPad too. I need to know how far you guys have gone in the past few days.” Dwayne did not bother going into his office first, he is mainly concerned about the company's growth since his absence. There is a concrete reason for the companies to be entrusted under his care as the sole owner, and he needs to prove it, even to beyond.“Here it is, sir.” It was given to him by the head of his staffs. “Just some li…”Dwayne cut him short roughly with a hard face glare. “Your opinion is not needed as of now, let me go through these first.” His voice was bossy with no traces of friendliness in it.The head of staffs swallowed hard into nothing, his expression is not bright as he appeared like he's under the influence of greater force.Dwayne focused his attention on what he's going through, and soon, his face and expression darkened with his brows creased in a tight frown.“How do I go about this poor analysis and trash you guys are giving me? What do I do wit
The rain was drizzling since dawn, with no hope of stopping any time soon. Umbrellas were held high, black outfits were seen on every one with no other color with faces pale with grieve. The men were in dark costly suits and the women, black gowns with black scarfs on their head. Only few were putting on glasses and their color is obvious, black. The atmosphere was thick as awkward silence hanged like a ticking time bomb. The quietness was deafening, only the soft voice of the priest was heard, but it was barely audible as it sounds far too faint.A brief opening statement was said by the priest with little introduction of himself. The deceased remembrance followed next, coupled up with eulogy. The committal followed after wards and then the closing statement. After these, the deceased was asked to rest as the coffin was lowered inside it new home. The family of the deceased who was the patriarch of the Zahans’ family paid him their last respect. The reception would be held afterwards
“You won't dare, I promise you. Little rose, you won't dare…” He replied, his hot gaze pricking into her skin like a blazing furnace. Is he for real, huh?“Are trying to dare me…?” She asked, angered that the guy before her had the gut to underestimate her.“Of course, I am. How would you feel when you have to spend days behind bars just for touching parts of my body without my permission?” He uttered, in a manly and deep, husky voice.‘Why does his words feels like a threat?’ She thought within herself, as a cold chill run down her spine at the mention of ‘spend days behind bars’. Is he for real or trying to scare her off?“What did you mean? How can touching you lead me to spending days behind bars, eh?” She asked, trying her best not to let her voice quiver. It's clear that she's scared of being behind the bars.“Of course, it will because I insured every part of my body. You know, touching it will…” He trailed off, not wanting to complete his sentence in the first place. “I'll sue
That voice again…?! What is he doing here? Has he come here on purpose because he saw her here, just to taunt and tease her with his cunning words again? Has he?“That's the suppose words I've always expected to hear from a loser like you.” Dwayne replied with no expression on his face. “Losers don't have much good things to say, you know?”“Ahh! It's only months since I left for San Francisco and you are still mean with words.” Damon said with a soft hiss. “At least losers like me depend mainly on themselves, not like you who can do nothing with Steel Zahan.”Dwayne snickered, wearing a smug grin after ward. “Coming from a mad kid who spend most of his lifetime wishing he was in my shoes. I can feel the anger and jealousy through your eyes, Damon. Stop denying it and accept that you are and will always be a loser.” Mockery was visible in Dwayne's voice.Damon only shrug his shoulders lightly. “Why will I admit that I'm a loser, huh? I might not own large and wide like you, but you're
Few minutes earlier before now, Megan's phone won't stop ringing. She had to excused herself to receive the call, it was from Elite.“Hey, Elite…” She cooed into the phone. “What's up with the continuous call, is something wrong?”“… I guess so, ma'am.” Elite replied in a haste, urgency laced in her voice and Megan could sense it.‘I just hope it's not…’ She thought to herself before replying. She remembered asking Elite not to hesitate to give her a call if anything should go wrong.“What is it? Does it have to do with the babies? Did something happen to them, huh?” She asked, hoping it not, but…“… Yes, ma'am. It's with them, they won't stop crying, and they are running a temperature too.” Elite replied in a haste. “Should I take them to the hospital? You can join us there shortly.”“No, no! Just keep looking after them, find a way to make them stop crying.” Megan replied instead. “I'll be home soon.”“… Sure…” Elite replied before hanging the call. Megan sigh deeply, she could only
Surprisingly, the babies' temperature started going down when Megan was singing them a lullaby. She read books to them and rock them to sleep. This has been her daily routine before now to calm the babies whenever they are crying or when she feels she's bored sitting all alone. It's clear the babies are used to it but started running temperature when Elite could not do any of this, maybe she did, but they are already obsessed with Megan.“This is way too surprising, though. I guess the babies are now used to Megan and can't stand her absence.” Hilary tells Dwayne. “I'm marvelled at this, for real.”“What else do you expect? She is doing what she's assigned to do, it's normal if the babies get used to her alone.” Dwayne said in a very flat tone. “It's only a matter of time, soon the babies will start getting used to her absence. Remember, the contract will be getting terminated soon.”It's the truth though, but the fact that Megan will be leaving sparks light inside Hilary. What will b
