It was night at the Ford's Mansion and Bruce had arrived some minutes ago, while Lyra hid in the guest room, afraid he might still scold her for the incident that had happened in the morning.

She suddenly heard a knock at the door and she flinched lightly. " Wh.. who's there? " She stuttered.

" Sire Bruce wants you to retire back to the room " A maid replied and her heartbeat accelerated irregularly.

" Um. Okay " She forced out a reply. Why would Bruce want her back in their room? He obviously doesn't care about her, right? Is he planning on hitting her? Or locking her in the room?

She was baffled and scared at the same time. Should she call Brian? But it's late, he can't just come over, right? What about her mom? Should she inform her?
