"You don't have to press on that thing any more, maybe they did it on purpose." Stella, who had tugged along said.
"What should I do? I can't let grandfather sleep without taking his medicine." Lavender troubled when she thought about her grandfather.
"Just call the police. Isn't this your house. What right do they have to act as if they own the place!"
"Won't that be taking things too far?" Lavender was hesitant.
"Think about your grandfather girl. What will happen to him if he doesn't take his medicine today?"
Hearing about her grandfather's condition, Lavender expression wavered. Stella took the chance to call the police and by the time Lavender came back to her senses, the call had already been made.
Soon the police arrived. Seeing two ladies standing outside the door, the police came over.
"Ma'ams, how may we help you?" The leading officer asked.
"Sir, we called you because this lady was denied access to the house."Stella
The next few days were quite peaceful for Lavender until she started wondering what had come over the bullies. Had they finally seen sense and noticed that they have been going overboard? They did not take her money nor did they force her to make them dinner or do the laundry. Lavender could not ask for too much and really enjoyed the few peaceful days she had. She did not think too much about it and continued to go to work as usual. Her uncle was even gracious enough to give her the keys to the house. It was not until this particular day that Lavender came back from work, found her grandfather lying on the cold floor that she realised the people she thought had changed were only putting on a facade. "What is going on here?" She asked as she went to her grandfather. "What is going on here? Can't you see I have been fade up with the two for a long time and I want you to leave my house this instant." Janet said, holding her
It has been one week since Lavender was chased out of her home. She had been working tirelessly to help earn money for her grandfather’s medication. Not once has she come across Jeffrey and his family. She thought that they were probably doing better since she, the eyesore, was out of their way. After an exhausting day, Lavender arrived home together with her friend. Stella has been of great help to her. She gave up her bed for Lavender's grandfather and Lavender was so touched that she cried when her friend was not noticing.Although she always appeared calm and strong on the surface, the truth was that, every night before she slept, she would always cry her heart out before falling asleep. She missed her parents so much that she did not know what else to do apart from crying her heart out."Hey, have you heard anything from those bastard?" Stella asked as each one of them took a sofa and lied down.
Lavender has been working tirelessly with the only hope that her grandfather depended on her. That drove her to work extra hard without minding how tiring the work was.Today she was on a night shift in Royal bar and restaurant. This was a place that even money could not buy an entrance. Everyone who came to this place had status and of course billions of money and investments. It only served the biggest of the big bosses of the city.Lavender had found herself in this place just by chance. Her former boss saw how dedicated and hardworking she was and recommend her to this place. Because the people in this place liked playing with young maiden girls, they did not hesitate to take in Lavender after seeing how smart and beautiful she was."Lavender, today we will be hosting one of our biggest and most influential investor, I want you to be responsible of serving him dinner." The hotel manager said to Lav
Robert was in a daze as he looked at her sweet and innocent smile. His cold heart turned mushy all over a sudden. He had the urge to embrace her and block her away from the darkness of this filthy earth. He did not know why he felt that way towards such a random girl that he had juts met a moment ago. It was not like his usual style but he really wanted to taste those thin lips and see if they tasted like lavender just like her name. Noticing that his thoughts were all over the placefrom the distraction and even his body was feeling slightly hot, Robert immediately shook his head to remove those weird thoughts from his mind. 'What is wrong with me? How can I have such thoughts towards a girl I have just met? That's weird! Even my body is reacting?!'His friend looked at his distracted gaze and didn't know what he was thinking about. "Hey you, why are so out of place. It seems like your mind has reach
The clock ticked and it was soon dinner time. Lavender, who had been busy all morning raised her sore neck and rubbed it slightly. She was too tired she felt like fainting. Thinking about the person she had to serve, she felt her mood become better. She did not feel like she had done enough. She did not believe a word the manager had told her. If it was true, then why did the man behave so causally with her the last time? Although he exhibited a cold aura, Lavender did not feel like he was dangerous at all. Maybe the manager was just exaggerating. Lavender execused herself to go to the washroom because the person she was to serve was yet to arrive. She looked at her tired face in the mirror and gave out an exasperated sigh. 'Sigh.. life is getting harder and harder.' Lavender exited the washroom after washing her face.As she approached the entrance o
"Boss, I'm not feeling well, can I go home?" Lavender was lucky because the moment she reached the kitchen, she saw her boss."What's wrong? Weren't you fine just moment ago?" Mr Dickens asked."I don't know what's wrong but I suddenly feel weak." Lavender said.Yes, she was feeling weak, not physically but emotionally but she could not tell her boss."But Mr Houston requested that you have to specifically serve him.""But sir…""Lavender, I know you are an understanding girl, by now you would have known the background of Mr Houston. Just as I told you, he is not someone we can afford to offend. No matter how big our hotel is, with a lift of Mr Houston finger, we will be on our way home." The manager, Mr Dickens, tried to convince Lavender."Have some rest, I will get someone to send in the deserts, but for the main course, you will go
Emma didn't know how she managed to sit through the remaing dinner time. She really regretted forcing Robert's grandfather to threaten him to take her out. She was so embarrassed she felt like sinking into a hole and staying there until the end of time. She also took note of how Robert treated Lavender. The assurance she had a moment ago was shaken. She has never seen Robert treat someone so casually except for his grandfather. The rest of the people were treated like dust in his eyes. Lavender was only a young girl, probably eighteen years old, Emma wondered how she managed to be so scheming at such a young age.…Dinner was soon over and Lavender cleared the table. She came back with a kettle of hot water and some fragrant tea leaves. She knew that the rich liked to have tea after having dinner to ease digestion. After she prepared tea for Robert and Emma, she left the room, considerably closing the door as
Lavender arrived home to find that Stella had also returned from her shift. Stella had remained at the same hotel they were working earlier before Lavender was transfered. Since she was also good at her job, she had been promoted and she was the one in charge of all waitresses and waiters. She did not have to personally serve every customer that came to the hotel. And since she was promoted, her salary also increased, and now their lives were a bit stable."Why do you look so happy?" Stella asked when she saw her friend entering the house while humming a strange tone."I have finally gotten some days off!" Lavender said as she removed her shoes."What are you holding in your hands?" Stella asked, seeing that her friend was holding a brown envelope."Ooh this, boss said it is my tip from a customer. I haven't even opened it yet.""What the hell!" St
