16. Crashing on Rock

James POV

Why was I doing this?

I didn't want any attachment with her yet I was reluctant to let her live her own life. I couldn't ignore her life nor stay without her.

Right from when she showed up in the picture, I hadn't been able to calculate properly or plan.

I claimed to be as hard as a rock but I was falling for this woman.

From afar, I saw her coming with a man beside her.

That same man in the picture.

Why was he always beside her? What does he want from her?

He made an illustration, pointing at his car and I instantly concluded that he wanted to drive her home.

“Absurd!” I cursed inwardly as I started pressing the horn.

I pressed it constantly until their attention drifted to me. Then, I rolled down the window so she would see who it was and also know that what she was doing wasn't right for a married woman.

Wait, why was I jealous?

“James.” It's been a while since she called me by my real name.

I was surprised and it only pickled my interest to find out what she had with that
