Chapter 14 : The flashback

Peter Collins was quiet for a while stared at a distance with sad look in his eyes and an expression of guilt and regrets.

"Your grandmother and I grew up together in a small town in the outskirt of Emerald City. This place is far from what it was before. Maggie and I, our relationship was very close like childhood sweethearts the folks back then thought that in time we will end up marrying each other. "

"Their house were just across the street from ours. Ourr parents knew each other but then all of the folks back then knew each other. Some of our playmates and friends end up marrying each other. Except for those who went away looking for greener pastures that the place doesn't offer. Just like me but I left for another reason."
