Chapter 12: Digging Deeper and Getting Interrupted by A (Different) Billionaire

Heather's POV

"What do you mean you aren't done working with Casey? You found who was stealing from the company. Now you are supposed to be able to put distance between yourself and the super sexy son of a murderer. What's changed, Heather?"

Lucy is upset. Heather knew she would be when she heard that Heather would still be working with Casey.

"Vincent Dillon has worked for the company since Liam took over as CEO and has been the CFO for 30 years. I only looked into the past three years. Casey needs a full review done of everything Vincent has ever worked on and every transaction he signed. He trusts me so I am being temporarily reassigned to report directly to Casey while I conduct this review. It's no big deal." Heather isn't sure if she is trying to convince herself or Lucy of that.
