Chapter 10

The road leading to the seniors’ quarters was lined with trees and streetlights and the road was tarred. Mr. Edwin definitely put a lot of work into making the life of the final-year students a memorable one. There were flowers and even a drive that held a few cars and after the drive was a red gate. There were no guards but there was a buzzer on the wall which I pressed.

A few seconds later I heard a click and a small part of the gate was thrown open, the sound of loud music nearly deafened me.

“Yeah?”

It was the sports prefect Johanna. She cocked a brow and from the dull look in her eyes, I could tell she was drunk. She swayed from side to side.

“I need to see Annabel Reed.”

She staggered and stepped back. “Sure, come on in.”

As I stepped through the gates I was shocked at what I saw. The first thing that caught my attention was the large swimming pool that took up the entire front yard, it was lined with black tiles which were wet. There were some seniors in the pool splashing
