He had summoned me shortly after breakfast and I now found myself gasping for air against the tight grasp he had on my throat. I fought the urge to claw at his hands, it would only anger him further. His words didn’t make sense to my oxygen deprived brain. It was clear he had discovered my deception about Alistair, but I had watched Selene die. The mate bond would have killed her Alpha as well. Lucas Zane had gotten word to the entire pack that training had been mandated within an hour. I was surprised to find that after two days of running signups, Selene and Alistair had just under eight hundred wolves organized into training times. By the third day after the announcement, training had started. I made my way to the field, having cleared my schedule for the day to help with the influx of new wolves. Alistair had informed me that the first day, he and Selene would be organizing each training group into their own subgroups based on the attention they needed to bring them up to par.
