Yea I’m fucked!
Blaze’s POV:
Flashback
Right after I jumped back into the entrance.
“MINA!” I roared as I shifted into Onyx mid-air. She can’t be dead, she can’t die, I need her. I ran as fast as I could, not caring that my fellow warriors were calling for me to come back. I refused unless my mate was with me. I saw more vampires coming towards her, no doubt smelling her blood from the stab wound. I knew I should have demanded that she still use Onyx to ride when she said she wanted to use Rimmy’s wolf instead. But I fooled myself saying it was for the best, that the less time I spent with her the weaker the bond would be and the need to want to be near her would go away. But I was wrong, Onyx was trying to gain control for the entire journey to the rift. The only thing that kept him from ripping Rimmy’s throat out, was the fact that the realm would give him the chance to kill and get his frustrations of not having our mate out of his system. But now she could be dying because of my stupidity. When I reached her, I immediately shift and picked her up. I didn’t have the time to be gentle we needed to get out of here. I looked back at the entrance that I knew was already closed. I needed to find a place to hide for the night and check her wounds. With a plan in mind, I Put her on my back and got on all fours and shifted making sure to control the shift so she wouldn’t fall off.
Once I shifted into Onyx, He ran as fast as he could, making sure he didn’t make any big moves risking her falling off. I remember seeing a river during the battle, I told Onyx to head there and use the river to hide our scent. We could hear the vampires from a distance hissing and trying to find us. I quickly shifted back into my human form and jumped into the river. I was an excellent swimmer, so I wasn’t worried about drowning. I let us drift down stream. Once I felt we were at a safe distance away from the vampires, I got us out of the river. She was starting to shiver, which was not good in her condition. I needed to find a place to hide out for the night, get a fire going and expect her wounds. She has been out the entire time, which was a bad sign. She was breathing but it was labored, and she was still bleeding more then I liked.
I wasn’t a doc by any means, but the alpha made sure we knew basic survival skills with one being how to treat a wound and what plants worked best in case we ever got hit with something that our wolves couldn’t heal. Every supernatural knew our weaknesses so they would always use them against us. That was common sense and exactly what we would do. Like the vampire vaccine, we know they are allergic to silver and of course a stake to the heart always did the trick. After almost an hour of walking I finally found a cave that looked like it has been a while since any animal had made it his home. I cleaned a spot, placed Mina in a corner, far from the entrance hidden away. I gather some wood to start a fire and began to clean it out as best as I could before gathering leaves and plants to make her more comfortable to recover on.
Once I was finished, I had to remove her shirt to look at the wound. It was a deep wound. I needed to stop the bleeding. I removed the pack from my back. Thanking the goddness for Lynn creating an elastic backpack that allowed us to shift without destroying it. She was truly a jack of all trades. I pulled out a pair of shorts and t shirt. I placed a blade on the fire, as I put together a makeshift bandage with leaves, using my claws to cut pieces of my shirt to use to hold the leaves in place. That would have to do until we can find a way out of here or simply learn how to survive. I’m sure the castle has become the home for the vampires who didn’t make it out. There is no telling how many are left. So, we would have to stay hidden for now. There has to be another way out of here. If I know Mina’s cousins the way I do, I know they will be looking for her, so I will make sure she’s alive when they come. With that thought I took the blade off the fire. Taking a deep breath, I knew this was going to hurt like a bitch, but it had to be done.
I placed my hand lightly over her mouth ready to catch the scream that will escape her mouth once I place this blade on her wound. Without a second thought I pressed the hot blade to her skin digging slightly to make sure that I burn it good enough to stop the bleeding. And just like I thought she screamed her eyes widening until I removed the blade. When her screams died down and she passed back out. I patched up the wound and wrapped it up to secure the leaves in place. Once I was done, I hunted, killed, cooked, and then ate the meat from one of those strange looking animals we saw in the forest when we first arrived, It could very well kill me, but what choice did I have. I needed to find out if it was safe to eat or not. I wanted to make sure I had something to feed Mina when she wakes up. “If mate wakes up.” I heard Onyx say in my mind. “ She is not our mate but, she will wake up, she has to, how else will she be able to punch me for jumping through the entrance to save her.” I said and Onyx chuckled in my mind. “Mate is feisty.” He said, proudly. “That she is.” I agreed ignoring him calling her our mate again. I laid beside her wrapping her in my arms careful not to touch her wound but needing to feel her close. I inhaled her scent and Onyx purred in contentment finally having our mate in our arms.
Flashback ended.
“So, you gonna act like you didn’t hear me ask you a damn question?” She said, getting angrier every second that I didn’t answer her question. I know she’s angry, because I hadn’t said one word to her since the run in with the vampires. “Do you have to curse with every sentence? That’s not classy or lady like.” I said, removing the remaining food from the fire. She barely ate her food, and she needed to in order to get her strength back. “What the hell did you just say?” She narrowed her eyes at me, daring me to say it again. I shook my head deciding to just ignore her question. “You need to eat to get your strength back.” I said pushing the meat in front of her.
I looked up at her and she had this strange look that I have never seen on her face before. “Oh, thank you fine sir, yes you are absolutely right I do need to eat in order to get my strength back. Thank you so much for looking out for me. I don’t know what I would have done without you.” She said smiling so hard I could see the sarcasm dripping from her face. I rolled my eyes, wishing I hadn’t said anything about her cursing, although, I don’t mind how she talks. I know in some circles, you can’t talk like her and her cousins talk, without people automatically looking down on them, or think they were uneducated. I know from just being around them that they all were very talented and educated.
Their accents made them unique, but not everyone would think so. Mainly my parents, siblings, and the circle that my family are associated with. “Sir, I have finished my food, if you don’t mind, I would like to get some rest. You know, with almost being eaten by a vampire has taken a lot out of me and I would like to rest as much as I can.” She said getting up wincing in pain, grabbing her rib cage. I looked at the bandage I had wrapped around her earlier, blood seeping through it spreading faster then I liked. “Damnit M why didn’t you tell me you were in pain.” I asked, getting up to check her wound. She held up her hand to stop me. “No worries I’m fine. I just need to rest for a while and then I will see about my wound. Thank you for your offer though, that was really nice of you.” She said, going into the corner away for the bed I made for her. Why is she being so difficult. “It Could be, that ever since you have met her you have always seemed to tell her what is wrong with her. Even though she is perfect the way she is, she doesn’t need to change anything. It is you who need to change before you lose our mate completely.” Onyx said slamming the mental door in my mind blocking me from him. Great, now he is mad at me too. I walked over to Mina who had found a big rock to sit back on. She had her eyes closed, but I could tell she wasn’t asleep. “M,” I said, sitting down in front of her. “Mina, I know you’re not asleep,” I said again, as she lifts her head up looking directly at me with those blue eyes that always took my breath away. Her eyes always left me in a hypnotic state. She raised her eyebrow looking at me strangely waiting for me to speak. I looked away from her in order to gather my thoughts. “I’m sorry, about what I said earlier. I didn’t mean it; I was frustrated about the attack. I don’t have a problem with the way you talk.
Now can you please go over to the bed I made for you, so I can check your wound. That blood has to be cleaned we don’t want to attract anymore vampires or other animals that can smell your blood.” I said as her eyes widen in understanding of the situation, we were in. She allowed me to help her up and lift her shirt in order for me to tend to her wounds. My breath hitched in my throat looking at her silky milk chocolate skin. Things were different now that she was awake and looking at me intently. My hands trembled and my dick harden, as I touched her bare skin to redress her wounds. “Yea, I’m fucked!” I said in my mind. “Yea and I can’t wait to fuck our mate.” Onyx pu
Shawna’s POV: So, the dragon left and didn’t come back. It has been hours and now it is starting to get dark. I bet you’re asking yourself, why the hell aren’t you trying to get away? Well, there was a big ass reason why I wasn’t trying to get outta here, and it is also the reason he didn’t have me tied up, nor didn’t even think twice about shifting and leaving me for hours. That reason was because this damn cave was in the motha fucking ocean or sea I don’t fucking know. But all I know is that it wasn’t anything but rocks and fucking water at the bottom no steps no nothing to get in or out. Did this shit make me fucking nervous? Hell yea, how the hell was anybody supposed to find me in a damn cave in the ocean. Not to mention my boys are growing and acting like they are fighting for room in my stomach. Mind
Conference room: Shadow’s POV: “What the hell do you mean you’re not going to help look for Shawna. Your brother is the one who kidnapped her and my pups. But you are not going to help find your brother?” I said to Dradon who said that he was going to help the team that is going to be looking for Mina. His girlfriend was also livid at his declaration. “Yea Dradon I think your skill will be needed more on the mission to find your brother then our team.” The alpha said agreeing with me. Something was up with him because once he found out that Blaze had entered the entrance to save Mina, he became obsessed with finding Mina. “What the hell do you have going on Dradon, why are you so determined to look for Mina instead of Lynx?” Lynn
A binding contract?Ji’lahni’s POV: Leaning over to whisper in my ear. “Did she just say we shouldn’t be trying to save Mina?” Lynn asked me. See I was trying to be cordial and civil, but as usual people always have to come with the dumb shit. But I am trying, really hard to keep my attitude in check. “Please understand that both Blaze and Mina are important to our pack.” I said, patting myself on the back for saying that nicely. “Excuse me alpha, why are your servants speaking out of term but hasn’t gotten me my water yet. Is this the type of pack you’re running here where you have, your servants speaking out of turn. Where is Luna Summer, she would know how to handle unruly servants.” The other woman that was with them said, she looks like she could be Blaze&rsquo
This can’t be happening.Montego’s POV: This can’t be happening; How could my parents sign away my chance at being with my other half mate? “Montego what do you want to do?” The alpha asked, looking at me with pity. “I need to go back to my pack and figure this out.” I said, my mind racing. I need to talk to my father’s beta maybe he knows about this contract and a way for me to get out of it. My father was a smart man or so I thought, he always made sure what ever contract he sign there is always a loophole and I intend to find it. “Well, that’s a great idea. It will be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know our Kassie and she can meet your family as well.” The councilmen said in excitement. “I feel like you not even trying to read the room. That man don’t wanna be with your daughter, when he has found his other half mate. So why do you think he will want to travel with her let alone have her meet his family? Lastly why would you want to be with a man who doesn’t want
Urrale’s POV: “I can’t believe father would do this to me. He said he would make sure I have everything. I have lost my mate my castle, and Shaid.” I said to my servant Maria who was lying in a bed still unconscious, I was able to use the last of my powers to keep both of us alive, but she suffered a lot of blood lost. I need to try and find father I know he made it out of the realm. I just need to find him and then he will restore me to full strength. I have to convince him that I could get him the twins. I just need something to offer him to restore his faith in me. I just had to figure out what. “Master, what happened? Did we make it out of the realm?” Maria asked, trying to sit up but couldn’t. “Don’t try and get up your still healing. Yes, we made it out. But we have lost everything father has abandon us because we failed, to kill the twins. We need to find him and bring him something that will get us back in his good graces.” I said pacing the floor thinking. “Well, I
Zane’s Beta’s POV: The alpha is dead the dark one has taken over his body. Ever since we returned from the witch’s realm, he has nearly killed all the prisoners in our dungeon and is now planning to start killing members of our pack. I am the rightful leader to the pack until his grandson comes of age. But I don’t plan to let that happen. I need to get rid of the dark one before he kills everyone. I need a plan and I need one fast. “Beta all the warriors are here, like you asked.” My first in command said, stepping into my office. I nodded and prepared myself for the meeting I called behind the dark ones back. Walking into my living room looking at the sad eyes of my men. “I called you all here because we have a big problem. The alpha is dead, he has been taken over by the dark one. He plans to wipe out all shifters, with our help before he kills us. He wants to kill our moon goddess and in order to do that we must all die to weaken her enough for him to kill her.
Shadow’s POV:Day 5 Rane was anxious. We have been searching for Shawna for the past 2 days only stopping to refuel. We haven’t found any sign of Shawna or that damn dragon. Everything that Hawk told me played on repeat in my head. I tried my best to remember everything that happened that day, but I couldn’t remember anything past Hawk telling Shawna that Scarlett could save me. I don’t remember calling Scarlett’s name, if I did it meant nothing. I know I will have a hard time convincing Shawna of that, especially with everything that has happened up to this point. Right now, I just needed to find her and make sure that she is ok and that our boys are safe. I hope that she hasn’t gone into labor. When I asked his brother and sister, why they think he took Shawna. They had no answers, they were just as shocked as everyone else. The only thing that they did mention was maybe he had scented Dradon’s dragon on her, and now thinks she can birth dragon shifters. Once she give b
Flashback: “So, Mylan couldn’t find the rift? I thought she said, she knew somebody who could find it?” Ji’lahni said, sadly. She was happy that there would be two teams searching for both her cousins at the same time. But Lynn just delivered the bad news that Mylan said she hadn’t heard anything from the person who could find the rift. “No, she said, it may take a few days. So, all we can do now is focus on finding Shawna. We could help with the search until grandmother hears back from her friend about the rift.” Lynn said, sitting next to a now crying Ji’lahni. Ji’lahni was feeling helpless and lost without her family. She needed them to be ok, until she could find them, she didn’t want them to be missing for too long. Because in the human world time mattered it could mean life or death. The longer a person is missing the less likely that they are alive and that is what was scaring Ji’lahni. We decided to have dinner in the dining room, because we would be lea
