Yea I'm fucked!

Yea I’m fucked!

Blaze’s POV:

Flashback

Right after I jumped back into the entrance.

“MINA!” I roared as I shifted into Onyx mid-air. She can’t be dead, she can’t die, I need her. I ran as fast as I could, not caring that my fellow warriors were calling for me to come back.  I refused unless my mate was with me. I saw more vampires coming towards her, no doubt smelling her blood from the stab wound. I knew I should have demanded that she still use Onyx to ride when she said she wanted to use Rimmy’s wolf instead. But I fooled myself saying it was for the best, that the less time I spent with her the weaker the bond would be and the need to want to be near her would go away. But I was wrong, Onyx was trying to gain control for the entire journey to the rift. The only thing that kept him from ripping Rimmy’s throat out, was the fact that the realm would give him the chance to kill and get his frustrations of not having our mate out of his system. But now she could be dying because of my stupidity. When I reached her, I immediately shift and picked her up. I didn’t have the time to be gentle we needed to get out of here. I looked back at the entrance that I knew was already closed. I needed to find a place to hide for the night and check her wounds. With a plan in mind, I Put her on my back and got on all fours and shifted making sure to control the shift so she wouldn’t fall off.

Once I shifted into Onyx, He ran as fast as he could, making sure he didn’t make any big moves risking her falling off. I remember seeing a river during the battle, I told Onyx  to head there and use the river to hide our scent. We could hear the vampires from a distance hissing and trying to find us. I quickly shifted back into my human form and jumped into the river. I was an excellent swimmer, so I wasn’t worried about drowning. I let us drift down stream. Once I felt we were at a safe distance away from the vampires, I got us out of the river. She was starting to shiver, which was not good in her condition. I needed to find a place to hide out for the night, get a fire going and expect her wounds. She has been out the entire time, which was a bad sign. She was breathing but it was labored, and she was still bleeding more then I liked.

I wasn’t a doc by any means, but the alpha made sure we knew basic survival skills with one being how to treat a wound and what plants worked best in case we ever got hit with something that our wolves couldn’t heal. Every supernatural knew our weaknesses so they would always use them against us. That was common sense and exactly what we would do. Like the vampire vaccine, we know they are allergic to silver and of course a stake to the heart always did the trick. After almost an hour of walking I finally found a cave that looked like it has been a while since any animal had made it his home. I cleaned a spot, placed Mina in a corner, far from the entrance hidden away. I gather some wood to start a fire and began to clean it out as best as I could before gathering leaves and plants to make her more comfortable to recover on.

Once I was finished, I had to remove her shirt to look at the wound. It was a deep wound. I needed to stop the bleeding. I removed the pack from my back. Thanking the goddness for Lynn creating an elastic backpack that allowed us to shift without destroying it. She was truly a jack of all trades. I pulled out a pair of shorts and t shirt. I placed a blade on the fire, as I put together a makeshift bandage with leaves, using my claws to cut pieces of my shirt to use to hold the leaves in place. That would have to do until we can find a way out of here or simply learn how to survive. I’m sure the castle has become the home for the vampires who didn’t make it out. There is no telling how many are left. So, we would have to stay hidden for now. There has to be another way out of here. If I know Mina’s cousins the way I do, I know they will be looking for her, so I will make sure she’s alive when they come. With that thought I took the blade off the fire. Taking a deep breath, I knew this was going to hurt like a bitch, but it had to be done.

I placed my hand lightly over her mouth ready to catch the scream that will escape her mouth once I place this blade on her wound. Without a second thought I pressed the hot blade to her skin digging slightly to make sure that I burn it good enough to stop the bleeding. And just like I thought she screamed her eyes widening until I removed the blade. When her screams died down and she passed back out. I patched up the wound and wrapped it up to secure the leaves in place. Once I was done, I hunted, killed, cooked, and then ate the meat from one of those strange looking animals we saw in the forest when we first arrived, It could very well kill me, but what choice did I have. I needed to find out if it was safe to eat or not. I wanted to make sure I had something to feed Mina when she wakes up. “If mate wakes up.” I heard Onyx say in my mind. “ She is not our mate but, she will wake up, she has to, how else will she be able to punch me for jumping through the entrance to save her.” I said and Onyx chuckled in my mind. “Mate is feisty.” He said, proudly. “That she is.”  I agreed ignoring him calling her our mate again. I laid beside her wrapping her in my arms careful not to touch her wound but needing to feel her close. I inhaled her scent and Onyx purred in contentment finally having our mate in our arms.

Flashback ended.

“So, you gonna act like you didn’t hear me ask you a damn question?” She said, getting angrier  every second that I didn’t answer her question. I know she’s angry, because I hadn’t said one word to her since the run in with the vampires. “Do you have to curse with every sentence? That’s not classy or lady like.” I said, removing the remaining food from the fire. She barely ate her food, and she needed to in order to get her strength back. “What the hell did you just say?” She narrowed her eyes at me, daring me to say it again. I shook my head deciding to just ignore her question. “You need to eat to get your strength back.”  I said pushing the meat in front of her.

I looked up at her and she had this strange look that I have never seen on her face before. “Oh, thank you fine sir, yes you are absolutely right I do need to eat in order to get my strength back. Thank you so much for looking out for me. I don’t know what I would have done without you.” She said smiling so hard I could see the sarcasm dripping from her face. I rolled my eyes, wishing I hadn’t said anything about her cursing, although, I don’t mind how she talks.  I know in some circles, you can’t talk like her and her cousins talk, without people automatically looking down on them, or think they were uneducated. I know from just being around them that they all were very talented and educated.

Their accents made them unique, but not everyone would think so. Mainly my parents, siblings, and the circle that my family are associated with. “Sir, I have finished my food, if you don’t mind, I would like to get some rest. You know, with almost being eaten by a vampire has taken a lot out of me and I would like to rest as much as I can.” She said getting up wincing in pain, grabbing her rib cage.  I looked at the bandage I had wrapped around her earlier, blood seeping through it spreading faster then I liked. “Damnit M why didn’t you tell me you were in pain.” I asked, getting up to check her wound. She held up her hand to stop me. “No worries I’m fine. I just need to rest for a while and then I will see about my wound. Thank you for your offer though, that was really nice of you.” She said, going into the corner away for the bed I made for her. Why is she being so difficult. “It Could be, that ever since you have met her you have always seemed to tell her what is wrong with her. Even though she is perfect the way she is, she doesn’t need to change anything. It is you who need to change before you lose our mate completely.” Onyx said slamming the mental door in my mind blocking me from him. Great, now he is mad at me too. I walked over to Mina who had found a big rock to sit back on. She had her eyes closed, but I could tell she wasn’t asleep. “M,” I said, sitting down in front of her. “Mina, I know you’re not asleep,” I said again, as she lifts her head up looking directly at me with those blue eyes that always took my breath away. Her eyes always left me in a hypnotic state. She raised her eyebrow looking at me strangely waiting for me to speak. I looked away from her in order to gather my thoughts. “I’m sorry, about what I said earlier. I didn’t mean it; I was frustrated about the attack. I don’t have a problem with the way you talk.

Now can you please go over to the bed I made for you, so I can check your wound. That blood has to be cleaned we don’t want to attract anymore vampires or other animals that can smell your blood.” I said as her eyes widen in understanding of the situation, we were in. She allowed me to help her up and lift her shirt in order for me to tend to her wounds. My breath hitched in my throat looking at her silky milk chocolate skin. Things were different now that she was awake and looking at me intently. My hands trembled and my dick harden, as I touched her bare skin to redress her wounds. “Yea, I’m fucked!” I said in my mind. “Yea and I can’t wait to fuck our mate.” Onyx pu
