Beatrice took me back to the kitchen, where the ladies who were preparing breakfast a while ago were lined up and waiting for us.
My dress matched with theirs but the only difference was the hair and the shoes.Their hairs were combed back and secured tightly in to a bun at the nap of their necks, not a single strand out of place. Their dresses were perfectly pressed and they were wearing white sandlas on their feet."Girls..." Beatirce called out from beside me and their eyes immediately went to her. They looked up at her like she was their leader. "We have a new wolf that will be assisting you. If you need any assistance with your work, then ask. By the end of the day, it will be your responsibility to make sure that she will return to this kitchen when I'm present."The women looked at me up and down as if I was enemy number one. There were like ten of them and each sported some sort of hatred towards me."Am I understood?" Beatrice asked and the rest of the women mumbled a yes."Get back to work." Beatrice ordered before she walked out of the kitchen and went towards the dining room."So..." One of the women said with a scowl. "You're Haden's daughter?""Here we go again." Someone mumbled before most of the girls left the line and went back to work. The woman who just spoke stepped towards me, circling me like a shark does its lunch, assessing me from top to bottom."And your an omega?" She asked."No." I shook my head. "I haven't shifted yet."My comment earned a few scoffs."An unshifted wolf? Then what did Beatrice assume we'll do with you...""That's enough, Megan. Leave the girl alone." A short girl mumbled under her breath, but it was loud enough for all of them to hear. The woman who was circling me, Megan, glared at the girl and opened her mouth to shoot back a reply but the door from the dining room opened. An unease aura filled the kitchen, forcing my eyes to move over to the door.I watched as one of the identical men walk in.His brown eyes were a bit out of focus and bloodshot, his blond hair ruffled around. He looked like he went through a night of torture."Beta Silver." All the ladies called out at once as they bowed their heads.I stayed still right were I stood. I never bowed to a beta before so my body didn't react quick enough. The beta's brown eyes settled on me and I flinched when the image of him and his twin brother attacking Havoc popped in to my head. The girl who spoke up for me caught my hand and pulled me down so I'd bow as well.I felt the beta's eyes on me for a few more minutes before he tore his eyes off and walked over to the counter."Suzen, get me my drink." He ordered and one of the girls moved to a cabinet to fix him whatever his drink was. After we all stood up straight, the rest of the girls started walking about but I stayed frozen in my spot, just staring at the back of the beta. He'd dropped himself on one of the highchairs by the counter as he waited for his drink. He was supporting his head with both of his hands, keeping it from dropping down on to the counter. His voice sounded very familiar. At first, I couldn't place it to anyone. But then it came to me. He was the guy, along with Beatrice, who'd brought a healer to my cell so they'd keep me alive."Hey, new girl..." Megan, the mean girl, called out and I turned towards her. "Take this to the dining room, will you? Leave it on the table, I'll Set it up."She pushed tall stacked plates towards me, probably enough to fill the entire table up.I hesitated a bit, wondering if I'd be able to carry all of that at once with how bad my condition was. So, I tried to take half of it first so I could come back for the rest."Take all of it once and stop wasting our time." She yelled at me, causing all the girls to stop and stare at us.Nodding my head, I picked up the pile of plates and struggled to get to a few feet. The dull pain was still there and it forced me to limp. Especially now that the bandage is off and I'm barefoot, it caused more pain with the added weights of the plates.I did my absolute best to carry the plates in to the dining room, which was thankfully empty.I limped towards the table and just when I reached the edge of the long dining table, I felt it.A sharp, heart tearing pain shot through my chest as of some one struck me with an arrow. A pained gasp escaped my lips and my knees buckled a bit.The sudden pain had caused me to stumble amd shake, causing the plates to slide out of my hands. The plates fell to the floor, shattering as soon as they dropped. The noise of plates colliding against the floor filled the room. For a second, I didn't register what had happened. The pain was so unimaginably harsh.I clenched the fabric of my dress at the chest and whimpered a bit."What the heck did you do?" I heard a high pitched voice scream at me from behind. My breath was short and quick until I looked down at my feet. The plates had shattered in to pieces. The pieces had landed everywhere and some had delivered small cuts to my feet as they shattered everywhere. When I saw the mess I'd created, I felt cold sweat trickle down the side of my head.I looked over my shoulder to see that the omegas were looking at the floor with horror. Some had their hands covering their lips while others were just looking down at the plates with a scowl."Are you crazy?" Megan screamed as she stepped closer to me."Careful." Beatrice said as she walked in to the dining room. She looked down at the broken plates with bored eyes before she looked up at me."Lia, get Haden's daughter a broom." Beatrice ordered and one of the girls rushed in to the kitchen before she returned with a broom in her hands."Clean it up quickly. The Alpha will be down for his breakfast soon." Beatrice commented before her eyes lingered on me a bit."The rest of you, get back to work." She ordered before she once again disappeared.Lia, the smallest girl from the omegas, handed me a broom and went back in to the kitchen."Clean this mess up..." Megan snapped at me. "I'll deal with you later."There was a threat and a promise in her voice.Taking a deep breath, I stared gently swiping the pieces of plate away from my feet so I'd be able to move without cutting myself.Remembering what Beatrice said, I cleaned the dining room as fast as I could so I wouldn't run in to Alpha Raphael. The girl who'd spoken up for me earlier came towards me with a trash bin and titled it down so it will be easier for me to fill it with the plates quickly."I can do it myself." I commented as I collected the plates together."I know. But I bet you'll finish quickly with my help." She replied, her voice a bit gentle, unlike Megan."Thanks." I whispered before I started carefully filling the plates in to the bin."No thanks needed. I was new once and I get the struggle before any of the older omegas accept and respect you. Although, it might be different and difficult for you..." She trailed off before she cleared her throat. "I'm Okla."I looked up at her."I'm..." I started to give her my name but she cuts me off."Haden's daughter. I know who you are."A frown took over my face. Why doesn't everyone keep calling me Haden's daughter as if I was not my own person, as if I was my father himself?"It's Mina." I corrected. "My name is Mina."Okla looked at me for a few seconds before she shrugged her shoulders."Sure." She said before she shook the bin, as if to indicate me to get back to work. After I filled the bin and we made sure that there was no piece left on the wooden floor, Okla and I dragged the bin in to the kitchen and she showed me another door that led to the back of the pack house as we left the bin outside.***My head wiped to the right, almost flying off of my neck because of the force Megan used in her slap."Making a fool out of us on your very first day?" She growled, her eyes flicking a yellowish color, indicating that her wolf was near. While many wouldn't be threatened by the presence of an omega wolf, I was still unshifted. Which meant that she could cause a whole lot of damage on me without breaking a sweat."I'm sorry." I whispered, looking down at my feet.I remembered what Okla had told me while we were out at the back of the main pack house.'what ever they throw at you, bow your head down and take it. That is the only way of survival. Your biggest rival right now are the omegas. Many don't know but there is a rank with in the omega, one created by the omegas themselves. Even Beatrice doesn't know, but it's serious. Don't cross the older omegas, especially Megan. It's the only advice I'm willing to give you considering who you are. Just bow your head down and apologize.'That was what she'd said to me and I'd taken it to heart. After the wolves living in the main pack house had their breakfasts, the rest was returned to the kitchen so the omegas could have their turns. As soon as Megan had seen me, she'd marched up to me and swung. My left cheek burned at the impact but I did as Okla had told me and bowed my head to apologize.Megan scoffed at my apology."You better be." She growled as she stepped closer to get in to my face.I kept my head bowed.I don't know how to deal with this kind of situation.Back at home, I grew up protected. Even if people would want to bully me, they kept their hands to themselves because they were too scared of my brothers. But here, I had no one to defend me."No breakfast for you." Megan growled again. "Go clean the upper floor rooms."I looked up at Megan but she was already waking away. My eyes moved over to Okla and she looked worried. But when she realized that I was looking at her, she looked down at her plate and continued eating."Lia, show Haden's daughter to the cleaning supplies and direct her to the upper floor." Megan ordered before she started eating.Lia stood up from the counter where the omegas were sitting at before she walked over to me."Follow me." She said before she walked over to the door leading in to the narrow hall.I followed after her and watched as she opened the first door, revealing a closet.Taking out a broom, a mop, a bucket and a few more brushes and cloths, she handed then to me and told me to follow her.The narrow hall led to almost every part of the main pack house. It also led to a large stair.Lia climbed up the stairs with ease but I struggled. With an injured leg and the stuff I was holding, it was a bit challenging to go up.But I followed her without any protest. We climbed up three flights of stairs."This is the upper floor. New Omega's are usually in charge of lower floors but..."Lia looked at me with worry, the same worry I'd seen in Okla's eyes. She looked like she wanted to tell me something but she stopped herself."Just... Clean quickly and leave." She whispered before she rushed down the stairs, leaving me alone in the upper floor.Taking a deep breath, I limped over to the first door.Cleaning was never a problem for me. It was part of my training to be a good mate to a high rank wolf.I was taught well by our head omega and my mother for years until I grew to enjoy it.I went through the rooms like a cleaning tornado. I only had three doors left.I opened one of the doors and I stopped at the sight of a nursery.Stepping in to the room, I placed the bucket I'd filled with water on the floor and leaned the broom and the mop against the wall.My eyes jumped for one wall to the other.A full blue nursery with a wooden crib and a swing chair. There was a blue closet on one side and a blue changing table on the other. It was a boy's boy room.I was looking around the room with a small smile on my face when I felt a loaming presence behind me.I didn't want to turn around but my body wouldn't listen to my brain. And when I did, I saw a furious looking Raphael staring at me from the door of the nursery.I froze when the Alpha's growl filled the room. "What do you think you're doing here?" He asked, stepping in to the room.My insides immediately twited with fear. I glanced at the bucket of water I'd left by the side of the door."I... I was..." I stuttered, the words refusing to leave my lips.My tongue was tied, so tied up that I couldn't even finish a sentence. "What are you doing here?" He yelled, causing me to flinch and move backwards, away from him.Raphael's eyes blazed golden as he stalked towards me. I walked backwards again until i bumped in to the changing table and knocked it over.Raphael's eyes followed the table as it fell to the ground. His anger rose.I could see veins swelling on the side of his neck and on his forehead. His golden eyes shone more and his aura filled the room.I took a deep breath and bit down a whimper when I felt his Alpha aura crush me down.It was at the tip of my tongue to tell him to stop, to beg for his mercy. But then I remembered his reac
Raphael Stars...I rolled around in bed, trying to find a comfortable position to fall asleep. Like always, sleep was not going to come. Each night I come to bed, I'd struggle to sleep, even after I'd moved rooms.A few years back, I was still sleeping in that bed, in the room next to the nursery. The room was filled with too may memories that I could never get a decent sleep. When father suggested that I move to another room so I could get better sleep, I did just that. But it never worked. My mind would constantly travel to the nursery I was building and to the bedroom right beside it.They never left my mind. Even after ten years, they keep visiting me at night.Letting out a heavy sigh, I rolled to my back and stared up at the ceiling. My head was throbbing and my body was exhausted but I still couldn't sleep. It was as if my mind was too scared to show me images of what I'd lost again.I let out another sigh I could count sheep but that would just make my wolf hungry. A h
Mina Wolf...I let out a soft groan as I rolled to my side.My entire body was stiff and my wrist burned a bit. But I was not in an unimaginable pain as I was a while ago.I moved my hands a bit, thinking if I move too much, then the silver cuffs would burn more. But I didn't feel a new burn, nor did I hear the chains groan with my movement.Pealing my eyes open, I looked around and realized that I was no longer outside, chained to the two silver poles. Instead, I was back in my cell and there was a thick blanket around me.Squinting my eyes with confusion, I pushed myself up to a sitting position and looked down at my wrists. The place where the silver cuff had been burning were bandaged and there were small blood stains on them. But they didn't hurt as much. I looked up at the small window and realized that it was already morning. Last night, after I'd went through by far the worst pain in my entire life, I'd laid on the ground motionless, refusing to believe what had trul
I stood at the corner of the Kitchen and silently watched as the omegas finished plating the food for breakfast. They were rushing around the kitchen to serve breakfast in time. After I'd thrown the trash out, Megan had told me to stand by the corner, like a freaking child, and they carried on with their work.I was more than happy to be ignored. Attention that comes from anyone in this pack is not a good attention.Beatrice popped her head through the cracked door and she looked at the girls."The Alpha is at the table. Start serving." She ordered before she disappeared again. Each girl took two plates out and came back to take the rest.My help was not needed and even if it was, I would rather have them boil me in to lunch than go serve Raphael his breakfast.Once all the food was out, the omegas returned and started cleaning the kitchen. While they're preparing a meal, they managed to make a big mess. They piled the dishes they used to make breakfast near the sink and carried on wi
My bare feet carried me through the woods. My hair flew backwards, following the blow of the strong wind. I ran as fast as I could, constantly looking around to see if anyone was following me. There was no one behind me.Tears of joy were blurring my eyes but I quickly wiped them with the back of my hands. I didn't dare stop running for a second, not even when my right foot was begging me to stop. The air felt fresher out here in the woods, it smelled like freedom.I wanted to stop and catch my breath for a second. But any minute now, someone might notice that I was gone or Okla might change her mind and tell Beatrice that I ran away. Which was why I couldn't risk a rest and get caught. No matter how much I wanted to keep going, my pace was slowing down.I was sure that I was far away from the main pack house but I don't know how wide the Blue Moon pack is, so there was still risk of me being at the very center of the territory. My breath grew short, coming out in a huff after each
Raphael Stars...I stared down at Haden's daughter with confusion. Her small hands were clenching her collar and a soft whimper would once in a while leave her slightly parted lips.I should have left her be when I saw her running towards the rouge territory. That would have been a much better way of ending this. I happened to be in the garden that was behind the main pack house when I'd seen her stepping towards the forest.I first followed her because there was no way I was going to let her leave. I'd watched her going deeper and deeper in to their territory and I couldn't do it. I couldn't leave her to them.If the rouges had found her, death would have been the last thing they would have done to her. No. They would make her wish and beg for death.I kept her tucked in my arms as I continued on walking towards my pack. I picked up my pace. The quicker I can leave this territory, the better it would be.The second I stepped foot in my territory
Mina Wolf...I woke up with a start and looked around my suran unexpected sigh of relief when I realized that I was in my cell. I looked over to the door of the cell and the bars didn't moke me this time.I was glad to see the bars. Because it meant that they kept the outside away.I might be the captive here but in the cell, I was safe from anyone outside of the bars. What happened in the woods slowly came to me and my pulse sped up at the memory of Raphael tearing the three rouges as if they were nothing more than stuffed toys. Then, I remembered the pain, one that was caused by Mika.I still find it hard to believe that Mika would cheat on me with another woman. It's only been a month since we found out that we are mates and only a few days since I was kidnapped by the enemy pack. Yet, he still did this to me.My heart ached at the memory of him. If I ever get a chance to see him again, will I be able to forgive him?I probably would forgive him. He's s
Raphael Stars...I looked down at the bloody mess left at boarder of the woods behind the main pack house.Anger rushed through me at the sight of one of my warriors brutally murdered."Who do you think did this?" Silver asked, looking better than I thought he would be after what had happened with Luca last night."Isn't it obvious?" Maxwell replied. "It's clearly payback from Alpha Landor."Crossing my arms across my chest, I roamed my eyes through the woods to see if there were anymore rouges around here.If it were any other day, there would have been a few running around in their wolf forms, hunting small animals and ignoring our existence. But now, I couldn't hear a thing. There were no paws drumming against the ground, no pants or growls of wolves and certainly no other hunting movements. The rouges were gone and it was obvious that the rouge Alpha Landor had pulled them back before he attacked one of my men and butchered him like a pig and left him for me to find.Th
