Chapter Twenty

Dacre had handed over my phone back to me after saving his number while I was melting because of his words.

I could still feel his breath upon me and I took a moment to calm down my racing heart. I decided to go in and wash my face while the mystery which Dacre had posed me with keep churning in my brain.

‘What had I asked him?’

I groaned in frustration and tried to replay the events of the night at the pub in my head over and over again. Cool water splashed on my face as I looked at my reflection. My make up had mostly worn out and my hair was sticking out from all the directions.

Goddess, I had been roaming around like a homeless person. I scrubbed my face and hands hard and got rid of the makeup and dust and smoothed my hair as much as I could.
