Chapter 14

I ran out of the restaurant fast, Brody hot on my heels. I sprinted all the way to Mason's apartment, all my smugness gone. I was worried, I had let a secret slip. I had told Brody, and his parents, that my parents were Alpha's and that I was from Prima Moon pack. That was dangerous information.

"Mason let me in!" I screamed as I pounded on the apartment door. Brody hadn't caught me up yet but it was only a matter of time. Mason opened the door and gave me a glare, I barged past him and into the lounge. I saw a small human girl sitting on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand.

"Sorry this is my sister" Mason apologised to the girl and she nodded in understanding. His skin was pale and he had large purple bags under his eyes. He looked tired.

"We need to talk. Now." I told him as I dragged him into the bedroom and shut the door.

"Did something happen?" he asked in worry.
