Ryan went to his house and laid down on the ground kept thinking about Lillian. He smiled, thinking about her, but then his smile faded as he thought about the fight with Shadow.
‘Do I have to make a choice?’ he asked himself, not wanting to make a choice between his pack and Luna.
He heard soft paws approaching towards him. He raised his head to see who it was and saw the elder wolf, Esmeralda.
He bowed her head in respect.
“Elder wolf.” He greeted her.
“At ease, Alpha.” She told him.
He stood up straight and looked at her.
“What brings you here, elder wolf?” he asked her.
“I have seen that you met your Luna.” She told him.
Esmeralda had the power to see the future, and that is one of the reasons she was made the elder wolf. She was a wise and a kind wolf. She was also his aunt, and he respected her deeply.
“Yes.” He answered.
“And she is human?” she asked him.
“Yes.” He answered with a troubled frown.
“I can see why you are worried, then.” She told him, “With Shadow’s pack at our necks, I can see why she makes you feel troubled.”
“Is there anyway I can protect both?” he asked her in a desperate tone.
She sighed sadly.
“Your father loved my sister dearly. But even he had to choose between his pack and his Luna.” She said, shaking her head sadly, “He made a choice to save his pack and regretted it deeply. In the end, he wished to join his Luna in the afterlife. No, decision is simple. I just hope when the time comes and you make your choice, you will not regret it.”
Ryan looked down, feeling troubled.
“Let me meet her. Then I will know more about your future with her.” She told him.
Ryan nodded.
“I’ll bring her tomorrow.” He told her.
She nodded slightly and went away.
‘I wonder…’ she thought as she walked away from the alpha.

“Did you have fun today?” Lillian’s mother asked her.
“Yes. I met a white dog today, and it had super soft fur.” Lillian told her.
She was laying in her bed, ready to go to sleep.
“Lily, I have warned you that stray dogs are dangerous. What if it bit you?” her mother scolded her.
“But he was nice, mom. I even patted him.” She told her with a sad pout.
“Fine, but take your father with you next time.” Her mother told her.
“Okay.” she said and then asked her, “Where’s daddy?”
“He fell asleep. He was really busy today, and he’s tired.” Her mother told her, “And you should sleep as well.”
Lillian nodded, holding her teddy bear.
Her mother kissed her on the cheek and left, closing the lights in the room, leaving the door ajar. She soon fell asleep soundly.
~The Next morning~
“Come on, dad. Let’s go!” She said excitedly, dragging her father with her to the forest.
“Where are we going, Lily?” he asked, following her.
“To meet the big white doggy.” She told him.
Her father stopped her and looked at her, shocked.
“What big white doggy?” he asked her, looking at her frightened.
“I met a big white doggy in the forest with a red doggy, a brown doggy and another white doggy.” She told him.
“Lillian Jason Moon. I told you not to go into the forest. It’s dangerous. And that was no doggy, but those were wolves. You are grounded.” Her father told her angrily and dragged her back to the house.
“But The doggy was nice and he let me pet him.” She told him.
“It’s a wolf! And they eat humans!” he snapped at her.
Lillian got upset at her father scolding her this badly for something. She didn’t think she did anything so wrong. She jerked her hand away and ran towards the forest with tears in her eyes. Her father ran after her.
“Lily, come back!” he told her, running after her.
But she was too fast and disappeared into the forest. Her father yelled her name trying to find her, but no reply come.
Lillian ran and ran as she cried until she reached a river. She sat at the bank of the river and cried.
Blake was taking rounds with his alpha when he saw Lillian.
“Alpha, there she is. Ryan’s Luna.” Blake told him.
Shadow grinned, looking at her.
“How nice of her to come to our territory and save us the trouble to get her.” Shadow said in an evil tone.
Blake laughed.
Shadow approached her back slowly and heard her crying. He growled a little when he was close enough to her. Lillian looked back at him, wiping her tears and sniffing her nose.
“Are you lost?” she asked the black wolf.
Shadow snickered at her words.
She got up and touched his furry leg. He stood there in shock as an electric tingling went threw him under her touch.
‘Mate.’ His heart told him.
All of her emotion flood inside of him. She was feeling extremely sad, and he felt that. His heart ached for her.
“Looks like we’re have a human child for dinner tonight.” Blake said coming behind shadow, looked at her hungrily. “I can’t wait to dig my teeth into that soft flesh.”
Shadow got furious at his words and attacked him. He threw Blake down and put his paw on his head.
“You will not touch a hair on my Luna.” Shadow growled at him.
“Luna?!” Blake asked in shock.
Lillian grabbed Shadow’s paw and tried to pull him away.
“Stop, you’re hurting him.” She told him, trying to push him away.
“Be grateful to her, otherwise you wouldn’t have left in one piece.” Shadow told him and took his paw off him.
“Yes, alpha.” Blake told him and got up, bowing his head to them.
Shadow grabbed the black of her clothes in his teeth and lifted her up.
“Hey! What are you doing? Put me down.” She told him, not liking that she was getting wolfhandled.
“Feisty one, eh? I like it.” Shadow said and took her to his house.
It was a small house with little furniture. He put her down when they got there.
“Do you live here?” Lillian asked him.
Shadow said nothing. He jumped to his bed and laid down on it with his head resting on his paws. She climbed up and rested against him. He turned his head and looked at her. She was feeling upset again.
“What is it?” he asked her out loud.
Lillian looked at him, shocked.
“You can talk?!” she asked him, shocked.
He snickered.
“Of course, I can talk. I’m a werewolf, not a wolf.” He told her.
Ryan heard someone yelling in the distance and looked in that direction. He felt Lillian was extremely sad. He wondered if it had something to do with the yelling. Just then Randall came running towards him. “Lillian ran away from her father and ended up running to Shadow’s territory!” Randall told him through mind link. His heart started pounding hard with fear. He howled to gather the elite wolfs. “What now?” Freya asked in an annoyed, sleepy tone. “Our Luna ran to Shadow’s territory.” Randall told her. “What?” she asked in shock. “I’m coming!” In a few seconds, Freya and Karlie were standing in front of them. “What happened?” Freya asked him worriedly. “We don’t know. I only saw her running to Shadow’s territory.” Randall told them. “What do we do?” Karlie asked worriedly. Everyone looked at Ryan for his instructions. Ryan was having trouble deciding what he should do. If he provoked the Midni
Ryan waited just outside Shadow’s territory. He was on high alert and looking at the other wolves in front of him very carefully. “Where is your Alpha?” Ryan asked Blake. “He is on his way here.” He told him with a smirk. “Where’s the girl?” Ryan asked him with a snarl. “What girl?” Blake asked, pretending to play dumb. “Do not test my patience!” He growled at him. “And what if we do?” Shadow asked, coming into view. “I’m here for my Luna, Shadow. She’s just a child and has no part in this.” He told her. “Your Luna?” he asked amused and laughed at him. “She is not your Luna, she is mine. Unless you’re saying that she can have two wolf mates.” Ryan looked at her in utter shock. It was not possible. A wolf couldn’t possibly have two mates, let alone a human. It was unheard of
Everyone looked at her in shock. “How?” Shadow asked her. Esmeralda shook his head at him and looked at Lillian. She then looked at them. “Let us talk outside.” She told them and walked out. The rest followed her to Ryan’s house except for Freya, who stayed behind to look after Lillian and Liam. Just outside, Shadow stopped Blake and told him to guard and keep guard outside. “Now tell us what you saw. Why is she dying?” Ryan asked her in a desperate and worried tone. “It’s not her who is dying. But there is death surrounding her.” She told him. “Meaning that people around her die?” he asked her. “Yes.” She answered. “Is she cursed?” Shadow asked, coming forward. “Yes, and no. It’s a tough question.” She told him.
Freya took Lillian outside while Ryan and Esmeralda talked with her father. “Would you like something to eat or drink?” Esmeralda asked Liam with the warmest smile. “Umm, water. Thank you.” He told her there was still some fear in his tone. Ryan went to the other room and when he came back, he was in his human form, fully clothed and was holding a glass of water. Liam recognized him at once because he had shifted in front of him in the forest earlier. He walked closer to Liam and handed it to him. Liam took the glass with shaking hands. His hands were shaking so badly that water was splashing out of the glass. “You are still freaked out.” Ryan told him. “Who? Me? No, I’m not freaking out. You’re freaking out.” He just said without even thinking or realizing what he was saying. “You are freaking out.” Esmeralda told him and nodded once at him.
When Liam and Lillian got home, he saw his wife walking back and forth on the porch worriedly.Hannah saw him coming towards her, with Lillian sleeping against him. She finally took a breath of relief.“Where were you?” She hissed at him quietly.“I’ll explain later.” He whispered to her and went inside. She followed him into Lillian’s bedroom. When he put her down, Hannah caressed her head and kissed her forehead. Then she grabbed her husband’s arm and pulled him to the kitchen and glared at him.“Do you have any idea how worried I was?” she asked him angrily in a low tone.He grabbed her shoulders and looked at her apologetically.“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you or make you feel worried.” He kissed her forehead. “Did you have dinner?” he asked her.“No. I didn’t make anything because I was worried sick about you two.&r
Ryan was waiting for Lillian and her parents just outside the forest, with Freya by his side. They heard someone coming behind them and looked. Shadow and Blake approached them. “How long have you been waiting?” Shadow asked him. “Just a few minutes.” Ryan replied and looked at Lillian’s house. He nodded. “I have a suggestion.” Shadow told him, looking in the same direction. Ryan looked at him, listening to what he had to say. “Let’s end the hatred between the two packs.” Shadow told him. Ryan and Freya looked at him, shocked. They were not expecting that. “What are you planning?” Freya asked, not hiding her suspicion. “An alliance.” He told her, looking at her. “What she means was, why all of a su
They were at Sunshine pack, at Ryan’s house. He was explaining things to Liam and Hannah about how werewolves find their soulmates while Shadow was outside playing with Lillian. Randall was out doing his rounds with Karlie while Freya was keeping an eye on Shadow and Blake.Freya was still pretty shocked every time she saw Shadow act like a stupid puppy. Esmeralda saw her from her house and she walked towards her niece. Freya noticed her standing by her side.“I still can’t believe what I’m seeing.” She told her aunt, keeping her eyes on Shadow.Esmeralda giggled.“That’s the power of a mate.” Esmeralda told her.“If I’m going to act like that, then I don’t want to find mine.” She told her.“Oh, my dear, when the time comes, you won’t have that choice.” Esmeralda giggled
Blake went back to the pack, all beaten up. He had cuts all over his body and he was bleeding. One of the werewolves from the pack saw him. “Everyone! It’s Blake! He’s hurt.” The wolf said loudly. When everyone saw him, they rushed towards him. “What happened? Why are you like this?” someone asked him worriedly. “W-we fell into their trap. Ryan… he used Lillian as his weak spot… and killed them both.” He told them, breathing heavily with a pain struck expression on his face. Everyone gasped. “No wonder I felt a link dying in my heart.” One wolf said with grievance. “Our alpha w
