Chapter 16- Valen

Before I know it, it’s lunchtime, and I find myself wishing I was going home to give Wren her lunch. We have fallen into a routine, and it’s slowly becoming comfortable. However, I can’t blow Graven off. We have our tradition, and I don’t want to blow him off. He also would be suspicious about why I wanted to go to my omega over spending time with him. As much as Graven adores his omegas, he would never blow me off for them.

So, I head to meet Graven by his car as a sinking feeling of dread creeps over me. Was it because of Wren or something else? The only other time I skipped bringing Wren a meal was when the rogues attacked, and I felt shitty for not leaving her at least snacks. By the time I got home to her, she thought I had left her to die in the den.
