Luna stormed out of Ava's room, her anger bubbling just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over. Her conversation with Ava had not gone well, to say the least. She had tried to bridge the gap between them, to find some common ground, but Ava's resentment had been palpable.

She stormed back into Lucas’s room, her emotions a tempestuous whirlwind inside her. The door clicked shut behind her, punctuating her frustration.

Lucas noticed Luna's troubled expression the moment she entered the room. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, flipping through a magazine, but he put it aside as soon as he saw her. Concern etched into his features, he asked, "How did it go with Ava?"

She clenched her fists, her nails biting into her palms. “It was awful, Lucas,” she said, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and hurt. “Ava hates me, truly hates me, and pardon me, but I feel the same way too. I can’t stand that bitch! You were right about her being impossible to talk to
