I opened the door...

I went out; I breathed freedom...

I started to run. I didn’t care about anything else. If I could escape from the orphanage, from this place, I could also escape.

There was no one around, but this house was like a vast forest. I couldn’t find the front door anywhere, so I started running down the road.

Dante, point of view...

Adam rushed into my office while I continued on with the paperwork.

I looked him straight in the eye. I was very annoyed by that. When I was busy, I disliked being interrupted by stupid things.

Adam gulped, startled....

“What the hell is going on Adam, why are you barging into my office like this?” I yell angrily at him.

“Alpha, the girl,” He answers me in a trembling voice.

“What happened to the girl?” I yell back, even more annoyed.

“Alpha, the girl ran away, she left the house, she’s prowling the road, and she’s heading towards the main entrance, none of the wolves want to touch her without her permission, that’s why they didn’t want to intervene, they know how possessive she is,” He answers me quickly, a little nervous about the situation.

I hurried away...

I arrived at the main entrance, undressed and transformed.

Liam, I was desperate to get out, to go get his mate. She couldn’t leave us, she shouldn’t leave us.

I am a gray wolf with some reddish reflections in my fur, due to my mother’s blood, my eyes are as red as blood when she transformed me.

I am the biggest wolf in the pack, the strongest and most brutal. I don’t mind killing my enemies, much less the traitors.

I started sniffing. I caught her scent quickly and started running after her as if my life depended on it.

In less than two minutes later I could find her, I saw her in front of me.

As she ran, I also started running after her.

Liam was furious. We caught up quickly.

She was scared out of her wits; she fell to the ground. Liam was growling furiously.

“Why did you want to leave us? Why, you are mine, you will always be mine, you are my mate,” Liam shouted angrily at her, while growling furiously.

There were times when I could not control my inner wolf, and this was one of them.

I didn’t know what Liam was capable of, but I wouldn’t let him hurt our mate out of anger.

I started to talk to him, “Liam, you must calm down, she is our mate, you can’t treat her like that, she will be too afraid of us, you can’t hurt her,” I kept repeating over and over again in my mind, so that he would let me transform back into a human.

Liam gave a great howl of pain. He was hurt by his mate.

I transformed into human again and watched her. She was in a panic; I don’t think she had ever seen a werewolf transformed before.

I went over to her, checked her. Her knees were bleeding. That made Liam even sadder.

“I’m sorry pretty, I know we shouldn’t have scared you, it’s just that Liam many times takes control, and gets carried away by anger,” I told her a little sad, as I took her in my arms, she still continued shaking prey to fear.
