Vladimir’ POV“It was confirmed by your son Adrian, My Lord. Aria Williams was no more.”My jaw tightened when the news hit my ears. I clenched the glass of scotch tightly before sipping its content in one gulp. The intoxicating liquid burned my throat a little but I didn’t flinch. Because more than the heat that this alcohol was giving me, it was my rage that kept me burning inside. “Leave.” My beta and trusted confidant, Max, bowed his head before stepping out of the room. As soon as his build disappeared from my sight, I threw the glass on the wall. The desire for bloodshed and carnage was shouting inside my head. I gave in. I let out a loud growl allowing myself to be engulfed by my inner wolf Damek. And by doing so, I unleashed the famous “Death Eater” of Moon Valley. I jumped out to the window of my room and let myself turn into the beast I am allowing myself to become. Before I hit the ground, my appearance had completed its transformation. My spine had extended to form my t
Vladimir’s POV“We are here, my Lord.”Upon hearing the short announcement, I opened my eyes. I was welcomed by a familiar sight. With a bunch of trees surrounding the place and a couple of birds chirping in the background, I knew we had reached our destination. After a few years away from this pack, I finally reached the pride of the eastern continent. My home, Moon Valley.Unlike the other packs I had been to, Moon Valley territory was still untouched by industrialization. Its borders were rich with mineral deposits and other natural resources. This was the reason why a lot of packs were eyeing my pack for the longest time. Too bad they were too weak to fight me. Through the years, I managed to protect Moon Valley from intruders until eventually, no one ever attempted to invade it ever again. It did not take long before I was out of the car. I was wearing a casual suit and a pair of black sunglasses. My entourage began stepping down on their vehicles and started to observe the su
Adrian’s POV As expected, it took me half an hour before reaching the place. The place stated in the secret message was known to be an old loggers’ cabin. It was only about a fifteen-minute drive from Craigwood Mountain so it was quite understandable why it had gotten the name. It was a historic hotel in a very traditional style. Marion Hotel was small and quiet, perfect for a relaxing night after strolling the woods of Craigwood Mountain. The structure was made out entirely of wood. I also heard that this hotel was already 103 years old, so the place was understandably rustic but very cozy. I was welcomed with a wraparound porch and a pair of wooden sculptures of a bear at the side of the entrance door. It wasn’t your typical chain of hotels or motels as the looby was giving a normal living room vibe to it with all the furniture and antique decorations. The hall bookcase was filled with interesting books. It also has a brick fireplace and an antique upright piano on the side. The
Ash’s POV “So how’s the meeting? Did you convince him to ally with us?” The voice of my worried mother greeted me as soon as I entered the door. Judging by the way she spoke, Cassie might be staying the night elsewhere. This allowed us to speak freely about the Blue Ribbon Union. Yes, my mother was part of this rebellion. In fact, she together with other wives of the council was very much invested in this. This was another proud moment for me as a son, of course. “The meeting turned out great, mother,” I answered with a smile. A sigh of relief came out of her throat. I sat on the couch to rest my body. The events that had happened to Moon Valley these last few months were emotionally draining for me. It all started with Aria’s death followed by the return of our dreaded alpha. Aria’s Death. I and my mom were still struggling to accept the meaning behind these words. We were not doubting Adrian’s words, that’s for sure. But until we get to see Aria’s body, we would still cling
Aria’s POV Werewolf alphas are special. They have this extraordinary ability to impose their authority on other werewolves using their auras. Some say it has something to do with our genes, but some say it was supernatural in origin. Regardless of who or how they were able to have this gift, one this remains. Once they use this on you, you can’t do anything but submit! My wolf cowered in fear. I could see her curled up into a ball while covering her eyes in the back of my mind. I always thought that this special ability would only work specifically to pack members. Technically, I wasn’t part of Darkwood. And yet here I was with tensed muscles and an accelerated breathing rate. “You think you’re the only one who was affected by Peter’s passing? What about us? Do you think we didn’t grieve for him? I had known him for fifteen years, Aria! Fifteen years!” Nixon looked sideways while Luna Sheila bowed her head. At this point, I wished I had not uttered those words but it was too late
Aria's POV “Isn’t she beautiful?” I couldn’t help but admire this little pup sleeping soundly on my bed. The following day after I found out about Aurora’s story, Alpha Axel allowed us to go back to our cabin. This was under the condition that we would take Nixon to watch over us. “Indeed. This kid was truly heaven-sent. With a halo on top of her head and a pair of white wings, I would easily mistake her for a cherub.” I couldn’t help but giggle hearing Nixon complement my daughter. Truly, Aurora was an adorable little girl. Her hair brown hair formed tiny curls on her head and have a kind of smile that could make dark, cloudy days into bright, radiant ones. I had seen countless babies in the infirmary when I volunteered there for a short while but nothing could match the beauty of my little girl. “I can’t believe I was already a parent. I wished Pops was here. I bet he would be spoiling Aurora to his heart’s content,” I uttered in a bittersweet tone. I couldn’t say that I had
Aria's POV Growing up, I always associated my mom with the moon goddess. Whenever I hear bedtime stories about our deity, I would always put my mom’s face to the divine character inside my head. My mom was a typical she-wolf in my eyes, only better in every angle. Having a square-shaped face gave her a chiseled jawline which made her look athletic and sporty. Her long curls were as bright as the summer sun with eyes reminded me of the sea. Cassie was a spitting image of her, except for the color of their eyes. Cassie has hazel brown. But still, no one can deny that my mom was probably the prettiest girl in the pack in her prime. I heard that she was more beautiful than Adrian’s mom. I looked at the same figure that was standing a few inches away from me. It only had been two years since I last saw her but she looked around ten years older. My chest tightened when I had a glimpse of the bags under her eyes. She was probably not having a good night's sleep since I left. I can’t blam
Aria’s POVShould I just forget about everything and do what is right in the eyes of many? “Every day that you aren't there to help your mate, a pack member gets abused by Alpha Vladimir and Adrian could do nothing to stop him. You are the only one who can help us. Our fate rests in your hands.”My mom’s words kept on playing inside my head like a broken record. The voice was more reverberating than I remembered… deep… full…almost annoying. Perhaps this is due to the severity of the situation Moon Valley was forced to face. Or maybe, I was just too afraid to admit that her words suggested the truth I would be forced to embrace sooner or later. I never dreamed to be in the spotlight. It was never my thing. Growing up with popular siblings on my side, I used to situate myself at the back. Always hiding, always trying to disappear. This was my way to hide my insecurities, as people kept on comparing me to Cassie as if I would never be good enough for my last name. My father was a form
