My gaze fell to my watch as they continued to offer another useless pitch that only served as a time waster and multiplier for my already evident irritation. It was already 3 p.m which meant I had wasted 30 minutes listening to a speech that would in no way bring in any kind of profit.
A knock sounded on the door and I directed my gaze towards it as it opened to reveal my assistant who held a questioning gaze, and I nodded wordlessly telling her to go ahead.

Destiny's POV I sighed moving to rest my head in Mesi's lap as she and Sam continued to talk, the tree offering itself selflessly as a barrier between us and the sun's glare, the act allowing me to fall gently into the cool surrounding breeze the day had created. We had been here for over an hour and a huge part of me didn't really want to leave until the sun had set, and I could only hope that their souls yearned for the sight as well. The feeling of relaxation continued its journey throughout my body and I silently thanked the glass of wine I had for my current state.
