Destiny's POV
A knock sounded on the door, the echoing noise pulling a sigh from as I forced myself off the couch ignoring the voice that was currently begging me to pretend as if I wasn't home.
I began walking towards the source, wishing I had gone with Aliyah to the club since there was nothing for me to do here but drown in unwanted thoughts.
All of which held two common factors that seemingly held the power to alter my mood whether I allowed them to or not. I moved closer looking through the peephole a frown sitting on my face as I pulled open the door to see them both standing there.
"Hey," I greeted softly trying to push away the slight anger that had built over the couple of days that had passed.

Samantha's POV I walked over to the truck placing the box inside before releasing a small sigh, wishing time would increase its snail-like pace since it was getting harder for me to convince myself why working double shifts was necessary. "Sam," Joel called out and I moved from behind the vehicle to see him approaching me with my phone in hand. "Got a call for you," he voiced standing before me. "Thanks man," I replied taking it from his grasp before looking down to see Mesi's name displayed across the screen. "Hey, what's up?" I asked the second I answered the call, silently hoping the chatter I was surrounded by because of the numerous conversations taki
Mesi's POV She sat there looking at me apparently lost in her thoughts and I could tell that her lack of response was making Destiny anxious, the realization throwing words towards my revealing lips. "You don't have to feel pressured to feel the same way," I announced even though I knew the reality of how she felt about us both, which- "I, actually do feel the same way, I have feelings for you both but I just thought it was weird or-" "No, it's not, it's normal," I announced, cutting her statement short. "Normal," she repeated sighing and I smiled finding her reaction somewhat cute, her exterior and her interior being complete opposites.
ONE WEEK LATER Mesi's POV My gaze fell to my watch as they continued to offer another useless pitch that only served as a time waster and multiplier for my already evident irritation. It was already 3 p.m which meant I had wasted 30 minutes listening to a speech that would in no way bring in any kind of profit. A knock sounded on the door and I directed my gaze towards it as it opened to reveal my assistant who held a questioning gaze, and I nodded wordlessly telling her to go ahead. "Ms Bryant, there is a Ms johnson on the phone for you," "I'll take it," I announced outstretching my hand and she gifted the device to me allowing me to pla
Destiny's POV We continued to walk towards her car, the sounds of our laughter dancing happily around usas the cool night breeze caressed my skin. My exhaustion continued to linger throughout my body as I looked back for Sam only to realize she was still busy collecting my to-go order from the restaurant. "How was your free trial?" I asked Mesi softly as we arrived at her car and she released a small smile turning to face me. "It was good," she replied nodding slightly as she leaned against her car, her beautiful curls outlining her amazing facial features. "Just good?" I asked and she bit her bottom lip for a split second her gaze meeting and holding mine captive. The seductive and compelling nature she held making it hard for me to even create thoughts that held the intentions for me to dare to even look away. "I want to try this," she voiced softly and I couldn't help the smile that split my face as I moved clos
Mesi's POVI pulled the door open, a hint of surprise awakening in my body as my mind began placing wordstogether to express my approaching thoughts."Hey," I greeted, earning replies as I moved to the side silently telling them to come in."Didn't you guys get my text?" I asked confused referring to the one I sent stating that I would meet them at the park for dinner tonight."Yeah, but we were already on our way here," Destiny explained as I closed the door."And plus this morning you said you wanted to talk, so I thought we could do that before going out," Sam voiced gazing at me as Destiny moved towards the living room, her actions expressing her level of comfort in my home."Now?" I asked not really sure if I was ready to be in the same room with vulnerability."Whenever you're ready," she responded and I smiled, her response calming my nerves."Do you guys want something to drink?" I questioned dire
Destiny's POV I sighed moving to rest my head in Mesi's lap as she and Sam continued to talk, the tree offering itself selflessly as a barrier between us and the sun's glare, the act allowing me to fall gently into the cool surrounding breeze the day had created. We had been here for over an hour and a huge part of me didn't really want to leave until the sun had set, and I could only hope that their souls yearned for the sight as well. The feeling of relaxation continued its journey throughout my body and I silently thanked the glass of wine I had for my current state. Mesi had brought one of her famous bottles of wine since we gave her the job of supplying food for the day, with her taste in life being as Sam would put it 'boujiee' compared to ours. My gaze travelled to the lake that we were seated before and I couldn't help but to appreciate the beautiful sights the park displayed. "Do you want another glass?" Sam asked and
Mesi's POV My phone continued to ring as I pulled off my heels freeing my aching feet, a small sigh leaving me in the same instant as my hand travelled to my pocket removing the device, the sight of Jazmine's name displayed across the screen resulted in me answering the call that I had intended to ignore. "Jaz," I greeted as I walked into the kitchen turning on the lights, illuminating the space around me. "Hey, do you remember that number you gave me last week?" She questioned and I frowned placing the phone on speaker before resting it against the kitchen island as I searched through my current disoriented mind. "Last week?" I asked silently requesting more details since my memories were being re-jogged at a rat
Destiny's POV"Was that Mesi on the phone?" I heard Sam ask, the sound of her voice gaining my attention as I turned to face her approaching figure, the sight of her leaving me to stare as a sense of adoration began building in me."Yeah, she got held up at work, she's going home then she's coming here," I explained as she continued to walk towards me, her neatly cornrowed and taper faded hair making her features more prominent than before."Do you have anything to drink?" I asked her softly as I shifted on the couch, a small part of me craving the feeling alcohol gifted."Water and Kool-aid," she expressed amused and I smiled as she sat beside me, her presence seemingly crowding me as our eyes met."Nothing alcoholic?""Yeah, but you're not a big fan of beer," she reminded softly as she lifted her arm placing it on the back of the couch, her actions forcing me to notice the bandaid on her palm."What happened to your
