CHAPTER 19

While Nancy and Lloyd were having their moment, handling their issues, Kaleb had heard about the new ownership. He didn’t know who it was yet but he was on his way to his friend, Patel’s office to find out. It was his influence with Patel that helped Nancy secure her job in the hotel. He also brought a bouquet of lilies to apologize to Nancy for the other day.

He called Patel on the phone when he got to the hotel and the man asked him to meet him at the bar. It was there that Patel told him everything that happened that morning and especially how surprised he was that the new boss and Nancy seemed to know each other.

When Kaleb heard about the transfer, his fears only intensified. He was sweating and easily became restless. If Nancy agreed, that would be bad for him. Infact, it would be his end.
