It’s already late in the evening when both Lucy and Devlin came out of McDonald's. They spent almost their day only sitting inside McDonald's eating food. Devlin and Lucy both returned to the mansion when the night fell. Lucy went to his room to freshen up with the thought that the main door of the mansion is closed and her mate is safe, but she failed to notice the werewolves hiding inside the mansion. When Devlin came outside the kitchen with two plates of cheese pasta in his hands, he saw his mate drawing something on the big whiteboard. He didn’t know when she took that board from the study room to the living hall. As the board is on the other side, he couldn’t see what she is drawing. So, he placed the plates on the tea table and went near her to see what she is drawing. But, when he saw what she is drawing, he is shocked because he couldn’t understand anything. “What are you scribbling, Lucy?” He asked earning a glare from her. “I’m not scribbling. Sitting on her chair, Lucy drank a glass of cold water thinking that the burning sensation will calm down if she drank cold water. But, nothing has stopped the burning sensation. Devlin looked at his mate who is looking inside his cabin through a keyhole in the door. He wants to laugh seeing her stupidity sometimes but then he knew why she is doing that. He must be angry with her but also then he knew he can’t and he don’t have any right to be angry with her for hiding that. Today morning when he heard about her identity, he immediately feared that the points he is trying to connect are connecting by themselves. He didn’t speak to her after hearing that. But, he is always careful around her. He shook his thoughts and went near her clearing his throat. But, he failed in his attempt as her full concentration is on the place behind the keyhole. When she was trying to look at the entire room through the keyhole, her wolf started to rage at her. “I know I’m the wolf for the stupidest girl ever, who doesn’t even have a brain. But, don’t even have a nose. Look behind, our mate is standing there” Her wolf and she immediately turned to look at him.

Somewhere in the middle of the forest, outside the city, Devlin’s car stopped in front of the huge gate and he got outside the car from the passenger seat. Yeah, he is not driving, but Lucy is. As she also knew the place, she decided to drive. Lucy also got down and looked at the gate and smiled sadly. Seeing the gate of the wolf’s lair, her bad memories started to resurface.The wolf’s lair is the part in the middle of the forest that is protected by huge walls and only Alpha and Luna can live inside this part of the forest. It was the gate she used to see from the distance with the thought of leaving this gate once, and she left completely. But, now her fate decided to take her here again. Devlin also noticed the sad expression on her face but the hint of fear on her face didn’t go unnoticed by him. Devlin went and opened the gate and looked at her. Seeing her looking at the surroundings, he guessed that she is still afraid of the other werewolves.

Lucy went inside and saw the mansion is completely clean. She guessed that it can be the work of Devlin. The majestic armchairs in the center of the hall, made her want to sit in them. But, she knew that she don’t have any right to sit in that now. Though the outside of the mansion is painted black, the interiors are only silvery-white and the furniture is not painted. She looked at the staircase on the right side of the mansion leading to the first floor. The staircase is also painted brown matching the furniture. All the while, Devlin is only looking at her expressions to know whether she likes this mansion or not. At first, she didn’t show any expression on her face, but when she saw the huge portrait of Devlin’s parents with the baby Devlin in their hands, she smiled and looked at him. “You were cute as the baby,” She said and he smiled at the response. “Come, I’ll show you around” Devlin called her and started to walk on the left side of the ma
