THIRD PERSON POVThe atmosphere grew even more intense as Mr. Whitmore folded his fist. He was ready to clutch Alpha Nolan in the face. How dare this man kept insulting his sweet daughter when his son was the bad influence in all of this? The alpha was pleading with his eyes for Mr. Whitmore to hit him. Not only would he be the one who got hurt, but his wrist would break if he ever punched Nolan. Werewolf bones felt like concrete to a human. The tension broke when Beta Valor barged inside the office. Alpha Nolan’s head snapped towards him. “What is it, Valor?” He ordered through the link. “There has been an attack!” He replied. Everyone present knew the two were talking telepathically, except for Melissa and Paul. “What kind of attack?” Nolan demanded as he walked away from Paul. Valor looked to the humans and then to his alpha and spoke out loud. “It’s an animal attack, and it's bad.”Melissa gasped. “Someone got hurt?” She asked, and Nolan nodded. Nolan then asked his beta. “Wh
THIRD-PERSON POV“Who attacked you, Randy?” Alpha Nolan asked as he held a glass of water to his warrior's face. With great difficulty, the powerful wolf trembled with pain as he struggled to sip from the cup of water. He coughed and then he gasped for breath. The alpha quickly thrust Randy into a sitting position, knocking on his back, hoping for some ease. “Easy there, Randy. Take it slow,” the alpha commanded. Randy sucked up some more air, and then he settled back on his pillow. His bones in his feet were badly broken and his eyes were sunken into dark craters in his face. His left was suffering from a painful case of blood-clotting. “I don't know Alpha.” His voice was weak and husky. “He didn't carry a scent, nor did I hear him coming. He seemed to appear out of nowhere and when I finally saw him, it was too late. I swear his movements were lethal,” Randy gulped. “He couldn't have been older than 19 or 20,” Randy finished. The alpha rubbed his chin as he listened to his warrior
THIRD PERSON POVEliza released a loud screech, almost like a battle cry, before she charged at the hugging couple. Because of Miranda's werewolf senses, she was the first to notice the she-wolf jumping towards them. She tried to shove Nigel out of the way, but it was a little too late. The she-wolf's foot caught Miranda's chin as her talons scratched at the skin, the force was like a kick to the face, sending her back hitting the bench. “YOU BITCH,” the wild girl screamed, stretching her arms as she grabbed for Nigel's neck. “HE IS MINE!” Eliza growled as she circled her fingers around Nigel's neck. “You’re crazy,” Nigel struggled to speak against the girl’s hold. “Eliza, stop it now!” Miranda begged as she tried to get the girl to let go of Nigel. Eliza growled as she snapped at Miranda, flashing her canines at her. Miranda gasped, stepping back when she saw the she-wolf's killer eyes. “Red eyes,” Taurus whispered. This only meant that Eliza wasn't as innocent as everyone though
MIRANDA'S POVI couldn't stop thinking about Alpha Nolan's words. He was planning to kill my parents if Nigel died. He was such an evil man. If it wasn't for the fact Nigel was the spitting image of Nolan, I would never believe he was truly Nigel's father. How could a decent person think like this? Death was never the answer for anything. “Miranda, please just calm down and let's think this through,” Taurus tried his best to soothe me. “You need to lie down and stop pacing around the room like this. You're making me dizzy.”“I'm sorry, Taurus, but I just have a lot on my mind; Nigel being in a coma and Nolan planning on killing Mother and Father if he dies. This is not my typical Sunday,” I complained. “Plus what did he mean when he said he was going to punish me? What? Will he make me walk naked around the block? Will he not make me eat meat for a week? Or will he let Beta Valor go even harder on me in training?” I blew out an exhausted breath. I could feel and hear Taurus's heavy g
THIRD PERSON POVIt was minutes to 9 pm and Miranda still had not heard any news about Nigel. She and Taurus were worried, plus they had been downing on whisky and rum for the past twenty minutes. The numbing cream Duran sent was already working its magic, since a witch literally made it. Miranda could feel the tingles spreading across her skin. She was tipsy. There was no doubt about that. But she was still lucid. The heaviness of Alpha Nolan’s aura seeped through the cracks of the door before she saw him. He shoved the door open with a bang. An elongated crack appeared in the door due to the heavy force of Nolan's hands. “Come, it's time for your punishment.” That was all he said. His eyes found the empty liquor bottles and his nose flared. He obviously detected the ointment, but he couldn't cypher what it was. He exhaled and fumes actually came from his nostrils. He had warriors guarding Miranda as they walked to the open fields. Her palms were clammy as she ambled along behind t
MIRANDA’S POVI kept my gaze stuck to the ground, refusing to look Luna Peaches in the eyes. Alpha Nolan was wrong for this. He stripped the Luna naked and chained her up in front of me. This was not how an alpha should treat his Luna. “Raise your head, boy, I want you to count as I go.” My head shot up, and my face was met with Alpha Nolan’s. He was smiling wickedly. “Your mother needs to be punished for disobeying me. She has never done anything like this before and after today she never will again.”My body started to tremble, my eyes scanned the crowd to see if someone, anyone, would speak up and stop this madness, but all I saw were scared faces looking back at me. “Let this be a lesson to you all,” Alpha Nolan spoke. “There is no room for disobedience in this pack. I stand for no disrespect,” he growled, gripping the whip tightly, twirling it around in his hands like it was a toy. “Give her something to bite. The last she-wolf who got whipped bit her tongue off,” the alpha adm
MIRANDA'S POV It had been twenty-four hours since I received my whipping. My back was still sore. I was lying on my belly in a hospital bed, and even though I was still in pain, my mind couldn't stop thinking about Luna Peaches. Was she OK? Were her wounds healing properly? I still couldn't believe how heartless and ruthless Alpha Nolan was. I promised myself I was going to get revenge, not just for me, Nigel, and Taurus, but also for Luna Peaches. I wish someone would come and take her from this hell she was in. No woman should endure these treatments. Peaches deserved better. This pack deserved better. I growled and Taurus shuffled inside my head. “Good, you're awake. I was afraid you wouldn't wake for now.” “Taurus, are you OK?” I asked. I tried to move, but I was too weak. “Hey, don't worry about me. I'm fine,” he said. “Just try not to hackle yourself. I can help with your healing now that you're awake.” I could feel his guilt. Somehow, he blamed himself. “You know thi
NIGEL'S POV“It's great to be me again,” I stretched my arm above my head as the sunlight peek through the trees, giving light to the forest. “Don't just stand there. Take me for a run,” Taurus growled. “OK buddy, let's go.” In wolf form, I zoomed through the woods, enjoying the cool air and the birds whistling above. I felt free and also stronger. “I cannot tell you how much I missed doing this,” I admitted. “I miss doing this with you too,” Taurus confessed. “Now quit playing and let's go full speed ahead.”“You got it buddy,” I chuckled. We picked up speed, going as fast as we could go. Twigs and leaves crunched under our paws as we practically flew through the woods. My muscles felt great as they flexed and bulged as we ran for miles on top of miles. Then we slowed. “Where are we?” Taurus questioned. I looked around, but I didn't recognize this place. “I don't know. I've never seen this place before,” I whispered. My bones cracked, and I transformed back into my human form.
