CHAPTER 4
Ryan walked to see who the driver was and what he or she wanted. As he neared the car the driver opened the door. He stopped to see who it was, a few seconds later, a leg in high heels came out, followed by a hand, and the driver finally came out. Ryan was glued to the spot. He stood in awe as he watched the driver of the car come out.He was too shocked to say anything. He stood there as she walked past him and entered the living room. “ How did she get the money to buy this car?This car was launched only Three days ago and Worth millions of dollars. How did she get to buy or even drive one”. Ryan murmuredAlthough the Williams were a rich family, he never thought anyone could afford such a car. At least not now that their father's property has not been shared for them …. …Adriana got down from the car and walked past Ryan who was busily staring at her and the car. She entered the living room happily and shouted “ I'm home with the car”. Suddenly, Geraldine screamed with delight from her bedroom and descended the stairs running.They both screamed with delight and hugged each other tightlyRyan upon hearing the noise and screams from inside ranto the living room to see what was going on. But as he was about to enter the living room, he heard a car honk impatiently at the gate, he quickly pressed the remote and Alicia drove in at top speed and parked a few meters behind the Lamborghini.She blew her car horn and got out of the car .Adriana and Geraldine emerged from the living room and went to join Alicia.The trio clapped and dance around with joy as Adriana started the engine of the Lamborghini and began pressing the hornShe played a cool music from the tape and the three ladies shouted and jumped around with joy.After much shouting and dancing, they went back to the living room … … …Ryan stood afar watching them as if he had seen a ghost or an alien. He still didn't get what was going on. He entered the living room and saw Adriana with a bottle of champagne and three glasses on the table. Adriana filled the glasses and each of the ladies picked one“ Cheers to my new car, the Lamborghini Aventador ” Adriana said happily and the three girls cheered as they took sips of the champagne from their glasses.Ryan entered the living room. The look the ladies gave him made him understand that his presence was not welcome. He bowed his head and entered the kitchen.He stood behind the kitchen door to listen to the conversation the ladies had.He now knew the car belonged to Adriana but he wanted to know how she was able to get such an expensive car.The ladies continued their conversation amidst regular laughter and sipping on the champagne.Adriana did most of the talking“ So you know, he called me yesterday to meet him this morning that he had something important to show me. So this morning when I was about to set off he called to say he will pick from here. That was why I left without my car. He came to pick me up from the house this morning and we drove to the newly opened restaurant down the road. We ate in silence so I was wondering what was going on and what he had to say, but his face was expressionless. After eating we got back into the car and he said he had a surprise for me.I asked him what surprise he had but he kept mute.He drove to the garage and we both got down.He told me he had already paid for a car and that he wanted to give it to me.Then a sales attendant came to greet him and they took me to a place where all the cars were covered in tarpaulin.I saw my name on one of them and he asked the sales attendant to remove the tarpaulin.Honestly I was confusedWhen they removed the tarpaulin I stood there speechless. You know this car was launched only three days ago. I asked him and he said he made a pre-order before it was launched. Sibhe just bought me a brand new Lamborghini Aventador. That was why I called you ladies to inform you” Adriana explained happily.“This is a miracle I never knew he could be that generous ” Geraldine exclaimed“ Now that is the right choice Adriana, not a broke ass man our old man kept for you” Alicia stated and the three girls laughed.… … .Ryan, who had been listening to the ladies' conversation all along, was confused. He knew the broke ass man was referring to him and the old man was referring to Mr Edwards. He also knew that the car was bought for her by another man, Adriana's supposed boyfriend but he wanted to know who that man was.As to why the man bought Adriana a car he could not tell.What he seemed not to understand was why Alicia had a boyfriend despite his father's warning that she should not have a boyfriend or let Ryan out of the house until she was 35 yearsRyan knew that Adriana getting a boyfriend could probably be the influence of her two sistersRyan began thinking as usual“ Whois this person?, Why would he buy Adriana a car and why would Adriana go for a boyfriend in the first place”Ryan was worried but he knew he had nothing to do or say as he was not regarded in the family or in the houseHe also did not know if their mother knew about it.It was at this point it struck Ryan that he had not seen the old woman for a whole week!!.Related chapters

CHAPTER 5 Ryan remembered he had not seen Mrs Williams in about a week. On a normal day she would be seen in the kitchen getting something from the fridge every three days.Her own room was ensuite.She had her own kitchen, bedroom and washroom.So Mrs Williams came out only when she needed something.She had her own part of the mansionMrs Williams despised Ryan so he was not allowed on the woman's side of the mansion. Only the Williams sisters had the authority and permission to go there anytime they wished.Ryan knew the woman did not like him just like her daughters but he was worried as to why he had not seen her for a long time.He knew if he got to the woman's side of the mansion it was going to land him in trouble so he dared not , but after much contemplation he set off.He took courage and went to the woman's side of the mansion. He walked to the door and gently knocked on the door. There was no response, he knocked again and there was no response.He turned around to leave

CHAPTER 6The doctor explained Mrs williams’ situation to Ryan calmly.Ryan heaved a sigh of relief“ She will be transferred from the emergency ward to the female ward very soon as she is stable now,” the doctor added.Ryan nodded and the doctor left.A nurse approached Ryan and asked for the details of Mrs Williams, Ryan provided her with the details and that of himself.In about half an hour Mrs Williams was transferred to the female ward.Ryan stayed beside her in a chair until he slept off from tiredness.Around 3am the next day, Ryan was awakened by a noise he heard. He opened his eyes to see Mrs Williams awake and looking at him.“ Johnson, thank you for helping, you saved my life. I think it's morning now, you should go home and do your chores. My car key is in front of my dressing mirror, pls cook something and come with the car, `` the woman said in an appreciative tone.Ryan was surprised by the way the woman spoke to him. CHAPTER 7Ryan got to the hospital and went to Mrs Williams ward.She was being attended to by the nurse.When the nurse was done with her work she left them, Ryan opened the lunch bag and brought out the food. Mrs Williams signaled him to stop.“ Johnson I haven't seen any of my children in a while, where have they been and why have they not been here yet? ” Mrs Williams inquired.Ryan heaved a heavy sigh“ ma'am they are all fine and they are at home, they were when we were bringing you here yesterday and they were asleep when I was coming here. CHAPTER 8Ryan left the ward and went to the hospital’s garage to take Mrs Williams' car. He drove through the gates and headed home.There was no traffic on the road so he reached home in no time. CHAPTER 12 Ryan woke up the next day tired as always. In his bed he could see the sun rays penetrating his room through the open curtains. He stretched for a minute, stood up and entered the washroom. He came out a few minutes later with a towel in his hand. He hung the towel on the towel stand, removed his pajamas and wore a pair of shorts and a blue lacoste.. He went downstairs to start his daily chores as usual. He had a little work to do as he had done the most important part the previous day. Within an hour he was done with his work.
