Chapter Five

SHANNON ~ POV

______________

After English class, I was so famished that I hurried out and went to the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was filled with students to the brink, but I didn't mind this time as I purchased my lunch.

After that, I spotted my usual empty table, and I strode toward it with my tray in hand.

Suddenly, my gaze landed on a group of boys seated at a table close by, and was led by none other than Eric, my heart dropped.

The sheer memory of how he cruelly rejected me in front of everyone replayed in my head, and I shook my head vigorously to wave it off.

Eric caught sight of me, a smirk crept on his lips as he began to jeer at me.

"What's an Omega like you doing here?" he sneered. "Don't you belong in the slum, or something?"

His cronies snickered at his cruel joke, and I felt my cheeks burn with embarrassment. I tried to ignore them and head to the empty table, but Eric wouldn't let it go.

"Look at her, pretending to be a real wolf," Eric sneered. "As if an Omega could ever be anything more than a loser."

"I wonder how did an Omega like her get such healing abilities?" one of his friends asked, laughing. "Shouldn't that be reserved for real wolves instead?"

"She was rejected by Alpha Eric, yet she had the boldness to show her face here, she's so shameless!” another friend added.

Their words stung, and I lowered my head as I sat on that chair with my lunch placed on the table.

Suddenly, a group of girls approached me, their faces full of disgust and scorn.

"Hey, loser! Ain't you fucking ashamed of coming here, you don't belong here, girl. No one will ever accept you!” Hissed one of the girls who seemed to be their leader, sneering at me.

"And you're so weak! A weak like you is a disaster to our pack," another girl added, smirking.

“Wha—” Before I could respond, one of the girls snatched the pasta from my hand and dumped it on my head.

I gasped and sprang to my feet, my face decorated with paste, my dress stained too.

The entire cafeteria erupted in laughter, and I felt my face turn bright red with embarrassment.

Through the corner of my way, I saw Eric smiling satisfying at me. I knew he had a hand in this.

Just then, Cole and Jules appeared, and all the girls were screaming and fawning at them.

"What's going on here?" Cole demanded, his eyes flashing with anger.

"N-nothing, I'm sorry Alpha,” Eric shuttered, his voice dripping with insincerity.

Jules's voice boomed irritatingly, “You and the cronies were disturbing our lunch.”

“I-I was just teaching this Omega a lesson about being more careful around others. I sincerely apologize, Alpha!” Eric quickly apologized and then faced his cronies. “Escort her to the school Libary.”

Eric's cronies approached me, and grabbed my arms from each side, whilst I wrestled to let go.

“Let her go,” Cole commanded, and his cold voice halted the guys in their tracks.

Reluctantly, the boys dropped their hands, but their eyes remained fixed on me, filled with malice.

“W-why?” Eric curiously asked.

Jule intercepted. “This Omega spilled butter on Cole's shoe when she was getting her food, I and my brother personally want to punish her.”

Eric's eyes glowed in content, and the others were pleased to see me in trouble.

Anyone who dared to cross the Alpha Brothers was definitely in peril.

I was completely shocked, and I knew I hadn't meant to spill anything.

In the blink of an eye, I found myself back at the mansion. Cole and Jules brought me home.

All this while, I was starting to feel strange. My skin felt hot, and I felt my body shaking. Suddenly, I heard a distant Wolf howl.

Oh no!

I gasped, and my eyes widened out of their sockets with the realization of what was happening.

I had forgotten to take my medication!

I felt the need to go back to my room and take my medication. I flickered toward the stairs, but Cole strongly pulled me back.

“Come back here,” he slurred lazily.

I tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. I felt a burning sensation throughout my body, and my mind was racing. I could hear my inner wolf howling, and I knew that I needed to take my medication.

But Cole and Jules were preventing me from leaving.

"Please," I managed to say. "Let me go. I… I need to get something in my room."

Cole gripped my arm tightly, and Jules dominantly gripped my arm.

“Trying to run away, hm?” Jules smirked, teasing me.

“Plea-please, let… let me go,” I shuttered, my

heart panicking.

“No way, dear step-sister,” Cole smirked, playing with my hair mockingly.

In the midst of my anxiety, I abruptly smelled something strange…

Jules smelled like a ripe cherry, it was luring, while Cole exuded a delicious scent of pineapple pie.

My heart skipped a million beats, my chest started pounding in my chest.

I took a deep, shaky breath. “Mate.”

And then, it hit me; I had been given a second chance by the moon goddess.

Cole and Jules were my second-chance mates!

I was so stunned that I couldn't speak. I gaped at the two brothers, my eyes wide.

Just as I was beginning to process this bewildering revelation, Cole had pressed me up against the wall and leaned into the nape of my neck.

Before I could react, he bent his head to mark me, his wolf instincts taking over.

“Cole!” I screamed, and he stopped abruptly, his eyes turning black. He had completely lost control and his alpha wolf was taking over.

I was visibly shaking. Suddenly, another figure burst into the living room.

He was tall, and muscularly built. And I caught a whiff of his intoxicating scent; Vanilla mixed with woods and it was emanating from him.

“Ricky!” Jules growled, but Ricky blacken eyes never left mine as he strode towards me.

Ricky; the eldest brother of the triplets.

“Mate!” He snarled at me, his voice low and steely.

I became stunned, my mind spinning.

I was fated to the triplet alpha brothers!
