CHAPTER 89 HELEN's POV

“What's going on?” Ellery asked as she was uncomfortable with the prolonged silence that had taken over the phone call conversation.

I was silent as I was still trying to figure out what exactly he meant with all that talk on a sudden call.

The fact that Dale dared to call me to tell me that had me feeling quite salty. But then, I wondered why he was thinking I was in search of revenge. More importantly, I wondered why how he had found out that I was even having anything to do with Dolph at the moment.

I guessed he hadn't changed from the nosy fellow he had been since the time I knew his brother. I was going to get to the bottom of whatever it was that was going on between him and his brother.

“Hello… Helen?” Dale asked, as my silence was becoming above normal. “Are you still there? Don't tell me I scared you already with my words. You're Helen Duran after all and you're supposed to—”
