Chapter 91: Hybrids

Charlotte’s pov

I remember everything, all the memories of my past life came back to me in flashes.

Every single one of them, I could feel the pain I felt in all those past lives.

I had to relive the many times I was killed and the many times I killed myself.

I felt someone holding my hand, “you will be okay, you will be fine. Come on do something,” Sebastian said.

My Sebastian, my love I missed you so much.

I should open my eyes and look at you.

Everything, Damon, wait Damon and Logan are the same person cant they?

He betrayed me back then and is the whole reason everything happened.

Well, he isn’t completely to blame but my mother and coven are also to blame.

What did I do wrong?

I was looking for a way we could be immortal and still be witches.

I was also looking for a way so there could be peace between all supernatural beings.

And I did all that for my mother and my loved ones, was I wrong in all of it?

“Are you okay?” Sebastian asked the moment I opened my eyes.

“You have been sleeping and screaming in pain for hours,” May said and I looked around the room.

“I remember, I remember everything that happened, and I know how to break the spell,” I said, and they all looked at me.

“You remember? You remember?” Sebastian asked me in disbelief, and I smiled at this.

“What happened that night? why did you drug me with a sleeping spell?” he asked me, and I smiled.

“I wanted to surprise you, I honestly had no idea what would happen,” I said, and he seemed confused.

“But the poem,” he said, and I shook my head at this.

“I didn’t write it, a coven member who felt bad and wanted to leave a clue behind did,” I answered, and he nodded.

“So how do we do that? How on earth do we break the spell?” May asked me.

“In order to explain that I need to explain the whole story,

the foundation of the blood mark curse,” I said, and everyone nodded.

“The curse isn’t what we all thought, the mark isn’t just a mere mark but a mate mark.

A mark that was forced onto me, it’s a sign of my helplessness” I said and closed my eyes.

All this time Logan was the real reason all those things happened to me.

I thought that he would be the one to help me get rid of the curse, but he is responsible for the curse.

Doesn’t he knows that when one messes with nature then it requires a balance and prizes need to be paid.

When he asked those witches to make us mates that was the first thing that went wrong.

It meant that his true mate was left wondering alone without a mate.

Probably living the rest of her life feeling wronged and that too alone.

“The person behind all of this is Damon, he is the reason my coven cursed me,” I said.

“Who is this Damon?

And you said it’s a mate mark, forced onto you.

What does any of that mean sister?

Why would the mate mark be forced onto you?

Who did that?” David asked me.

“Let her explain okay, just relax and let her talk,” Alexa said.

“Yeah, now we can finally find all the answers we need so let her,” Clara also added.

“That night, it was a full moon night and the perfect night to do the spell I had been working on,” I said.

“I spent months running around, looking at all supernatural beings and trying to find if I could do it.

Then I finally managed it,” I added and looked at Sebastian.

“This is the secret project you told me you were working on, what was it about? And why does the spell need a full moon?” he asked me.

“It was an immortality spell, I wanted to become a vampire,” I said, and the room went silent.

“That doesn’t make sense, you loved being a witch.

It was the one thing that made you who you were,” Sebastian said, and I nodded.

“Yes, and I had found a way to do both.

I had found a way to be immortal and also still be a witch.

I had found a way to immortality, a way to be a hybrid,” I explained to him.

“A hybrid? Hybrids themselves are rare and some don’t even see the light of day, so how do did you even do that?” May asked me.

“You see my Scarlet was a great witch, I am not surprised you managed to figure something like that out,” Sebastian said, and I smiled.

“You really were great, can you do it now?

Now that you remember will you able to make yourself a hybrid?” May asked me and I shook my head.

“I am cursed, because of the curse I can perform such magic, I will need to lift the curse If I want to become a hybrid,” I replied.

“Why did your people curse you for that?

Immortality is something that everyone wants, why?” Alexa asked.

“Not witches back then, the hatred between supernatural beings was worse than it is now. T

hey killed each other for no reasons and witches were obsessed with balance of nature.

They hated us vampires because we were against nature, something created from dark magic,” Sebastian answered.

“And my spell is dark magic, the kind that was forbidden a long time ago,” I added, and they all nodded.

“That explains one thing, but what about me?

how do I fit into all of this?

Why was dad looking for me?” Alexa asked me.

“Dad?” David asked looking at me and I nodded.

Alexa called out father dad, “a curse this powerful needs more than one source of power.

The first source was the mate bond, the second was a power from a demon,” I answered her.

“They used someone from your bloodline as a source of power for the spell,” May added.

“Wait a minute, if that’s the case then Damon and Logan, are you telling me that Logan is the reason you got cursed?” Sebastian asked me.

“Yes, I am the reason she is cursed. I am the villain,” Logan answered standing at the door.

He seemed so broken; how did he find out the truth?
