8. PASS ME BY THIS ONCE

Vincent frustratedly returned home with his hair looking ruffled and his clothes sagged. He walked into his apartment and shut the door a little bit loudly as he held his suit in his hands with his tie loose and hung around his shoulder. He stood for a short while and looked around the empty sitting room before shaking his head and stumbling towards one of the seats. He stopped by the largest sofa and dropped his suit against it scanning the house.

The first person he was expecting to welcome him hadn't approached him yet and it made him wonder what was going on. He dropped his suitcase next to the sofa and then decided to walk towards the kitchen when a particular sight from the dining room caught his attention. He paused and reversed back the way he came before peeking through the door to notice Fiona sitting by the dinner table enjoying a meal of roasted chicken and salad.
