Jade’s grip on the spoon tightened when Debora touched Tristan’s palm, that was resting on the table.

“Try this, I cooked it.” Debora put a piece of meat on Tristan’s plate.

Tristan forced a smile and slowly lowered his hand where Debora’s palm rested. Even without looking up, he could feel Jade’s sharp gaze there.

“Don’t eat only meat, here’s vegetables, it makes you healthy.” Jade put many vegetables on the young man’s plate. She even bent down to reach Tristan from the other side of the table.
