CHAPTER 20: PREPARATIONS 1

ALPHA'S POV

Declan came back from visiting Is¡s.

He informed me she told him she had a few

important things to tie up before she would be able to come see me.

So I expected her to arrive in the next couple of

days.

Something else was bugging me about the incident from

the dungeons.

"Declan, what took you so long to get to us?"

"Alpha, the warriors and I came after Talon

mind-linked me for help. But when we drew close to the cell you were in,

everything went dark. We couldn't see or hear a thing."

FUCKING WITCHES! She must have cast a spell to

keep my warriors away.

I didn't say another word to Declan. I just used

my hand to gesture he was dismissed.

He bowed and left my office.

I received news from the doctor that Carson was

fully healed. I gave him the rest of the day off to spend time with his sister.

He said she needed him today. Something about her having a broken heart.

The alarm on my phone went off.

I checked it and saw that it was a reminder of a

fundraiser that I must attend
