Maddie felt so warm and full just watching Andrew eat with so much relish that she barely even touched her own food. Andrew's chair was taller than all the other chairs in the dining room so that he could be able to eat comfortably from the table. Maddie didn't know how long she spent reading the book she had picked up. It was one of those inspirational novels about success and how to be successful. Reading was one other hobby Maddie had aside cleaning and cooking and since being in the Conat's mansion was most probably going to deny her room to cook or clean, she was grateful that she could at least read. How had they even known to add a stack of books in her room? She wondered. The sudden chiming of the alarm on her bedside table made her to avert her gaze from the book to the clock.
