He has decided to enjoy his stay as her prisoner and he planned to seduce his wife. By all means, he would make her fall in love with him, then dump her like a hot potato! Daniella boiled a cup of glutinous rice and when it was soft, she added at least five pieces of Guilang’s Tableya, sugar, and milk. Then she waited until the porridge was very soft and the chocolate bars were properly dissolved and mixed with the rice. “Is it not done yet?” Marcus asked Daniella when he finished his second cup of coffee and she was still stirring the champorado. “If you can’t wait, then go ahead and eat!” She snapped at the man who insisted on eating together but couldn’t wait until her breakfast was done. “Your temper is nasty Dani, but we have to talk… about our situation.” His tone was serious and his face was also solemn. This morning, he had been thinking to be honest with the woman about his status quo, and the earlier their marriage to be annulled, the better. “If you are previously married, then we won’t have a problem, Marcus. “Mama!” Lilian was shocked to find her mother outside the door. She thought that she wouldn’t be able to see her again because of Daniella. She hugged her mother tightly because she missed her so much. “I thought you are not coming!” “I miss you, Lil.” Paloma was teary-eyed after hugging her daughter whom she missed every day. Gregory had wanted her to bring Lilian to the big house and live with them but she objected to it because she needed to focus on Daniella. She had become a bad mother to Lilian, and to Daniella, she was also bad. She’s a total failure as a mother. When Marcus showed up, she took it as a sign that she needed to let go of Daniella and focused on her daughter instead. She wished that she hasn’t wasted her twenty years with Daniella. “I miss you so much, Ma. For a week, Marcus had been a friend to Daniella. They talked, teased, they laughed, and enjoyed each other‘s company. When Marcus asked her permission to tear a part of her home, she agreed. She thought he would be gone as soon as he could find a way to leave her house, but he didn’t. He told her that he would keep her company until Paloma and the rest of the household members would be back from the trip. “Hi beautiful,” he greeted Daniella when he saw her coming towards him. “Hello there handsome. What’s up?” She loved his sense of humor, honestly, she loved everything about him. For the week that they stayed together, she started to like him, but she couldn’t tell him that or he would make fun of her. He already warned her not to fall for him, and she said it would never happen. Was a woman’s heart always this gullible? “Is there something wrong, Dani?” Marcus asked when the woman suddenly became silent. Her eyes were sad as she arranged the flowers in a flower vase and he wanted to comfort her. “It’s nothing, Marcus. I just remembered my father,” she lied. “By the way, how’s the annulment going on?” She trusted him to start the processing immediately as she couldn’t stay like this forever, and the most effective defense was an offense. So, that’s what she did. “Don’t worry about it, Dani. I received the forms yesterday so later, I may have to ask for you to sign it.” The forms weren’t filled up yet but he may have to do it later with haste. The woman was right, the sooner the better, and it was good for both of them. Daniella nodded. “Just remind me later,” she said and refused to look at Marcus and kept herself busy with the flower arrangement. “Why are you in a hurry to annul the marriage, Dani?” It bothered his pride that the woman was no longer attracted to him. “Com

“It seems that you’re not glad to see us, Miss Ella.” It was Patty who noticed it but the rest of the staff agreed to her observation. “Silly. Of course, I’m thrilled to welcome you back. You are just in time, actually. Hmm, I want you to prepare something delicious for lunch and make it a lot.” She instructed Patty to use her expertise in cooking. “What’s the occasion, Miss Ella?” Patty inquired. “My husband was leaving for the Marines,” she made up the story that Marcus was recruited to join the Marines. There were loopholes in the story but who cares? “So soon?” “Unfortunately, yes. By the way, where’s my mother?” Daniella inquired when there was no sign of her stepmother. “She said she’s going to meet her daughter,” Patty answered. Daniella nodded. “I see. Daniella screamed when Marcus suddenly cupped her breasts. It was so sudden that she was surprised when his calloused hand was immediately inside her blouse while he kissed her lips. The way he kissed her was rough and it wasn’t what she had expected from him, but it aroused her senses. He wanted to scare her, to back down from her offer of making love to him with no strings attached. What was she thinking? Her eyes narrowed when one of his hands tried to pull down her underwear. “You wanted this, Dani.” He reminded her when the woman tried to stop his hand. The man was right, and it was her who suggested the whole thing, but in the middle of his roughness, she thought to back down, and then she heard a tearing sound of the fabric. Her eyes became round and tried to snatch her undergarment from him. “Was it necessary?” She meant about the tearing of her underwear when he could just pull it down. Daniella was mortified when Marcus brought her ripped panty into his nose and

Everyone in the house was present during lunch as Daniella informed them that it was a farewell lunch for Marcus. He was seated beside his wife and he wanted to hold her hand for the last time but he got scared away. “Sir Marcus, will you come back on Miss Ella’s due date?” Patty was curious to know. Marcus didn’t know how to answer Patty’s question so he looked at Daniella and requested backup. Why did she tell them that his absence would just be temporary? “Actually, I’m not-” Daniella cleared her throat to cut off Marcus. Whatever he was about to say should remain unspoken in front of her staff. “He won’t be here on my due date, Patty. His commander would send him to Syria to fight against ISIS,” she answered Patty’s question on his behalf. But she couldn’t tell them that she and Marcus were over! “Syria?
