Five

At first, I thought that the boys had ordered way too much food. The three of us grabbed a burger and fries. The boys managed to eat three burgers each and fries. I guess being built like a Greek God took a lot of fuel to keep it going. After we had eaten we started our game. I watched Chad take his turn first. I could not take my eyes off him. I Watched his muscles ripple as he aimed and let his ball go. It was mesmerizing. After we had all had our turns and Chad went for his second turn Megan and Victoria moved me away from the boys.

"Ok girls I think we need to start playing dirty" Megan stated with her hands on her hips.

"What kind of dirty?" Victoria asked looking worried

"Relax, I was thinking we need to distract them so that we can win. Jill your target is Chad, Victoria has Steve and I have James"

We all smiled evilly at each other as we made our way back to the game. We took our turns. As soon as Chad was about to go I Went over to James and started giggling and stroking his arm. My action has the desired effect and Chad got a gutter ball, He glared at James who looked at him puzzled the second ball was also a gutter ball. As soon as he was done he grabbed my arm and dragged me away from James. I could not help but laugh.

"What are you doing" He growled

I looked up at him while fluttering my eyelashes. "I don't know what you are talking about" I acted as innocent as I could.

My act worked well as James messed up his bowls as well as he was too worried about Chad.

"You are both idiots" Steve commented as he went to bowl. Just as he was about to let go Victoria fell down the small step. As planned his bowl went in the gutter too. He ran over to Victoria to see if she was OK. She winked at us over his shoulder and Chad noticed.

"You bitches" He yelled "You played us"

I tried to act innocent but Chad saw right through me. I smiled as I scooted past him for my turn. I was good at focusing so I blocked everything from my mind and got a strike. the boys started to try playing dirty too but we ignored anything they did. In the end, we ended up drawing.

"We should have won" Grumbled Chad as he scowled down at me. I was tucked into his side with his arm over my shoulder.

"What? I did nothing" I smiled back. I liked his arm being around me, it gave me butterflies in my tummy.

"You flirted with my best friend right in front of me"

"Don't be silly, I was just talking to him. I would never flirt with anyone who my friend was interested in"

"She is right, she would never try to steal any man who Victoria or I liked. That is a breach of the girl code" Megan snickered while holding Jame's hand and swinging her arm.

Victoria and Steve followed behind smiling, they were not touching but walked very close together.

"We best get back to school, lunch is almost over, We will see you boys back at school" I reluctantly moved from under Chad's arm and climbed into Victoria's car.

Victoria smiled at Steve as she got in the driver's seat. Megan on the other hand put her arms around James's neck and pulled his head down for a deep kiss. She pulled away gave him a wink and climbed into the passenger seat. Without a word, Victoria started the car and drove off. I looked behind us and James was standing there with a stunned luck on his face. I blushed to myself wishing I dared to kiss Chad like that.

Somehow the boys were already at school waiting for us when we arrived.

"How the hell did they beat us?" I asked

"They drive fast and we have little miss nana driving" replied Megan

Victoria gave her a dirty look "you could always learn to drive and buy a car. Then you could drive us around"

"Na she can use her broomstick" I laughed while dodging a punch from Megan.

"So not funny Jill" Megan snapped "Do you like sharing my room?"

"I'm sorry, I love you, don't kick me out. I don't want to live in the streets"

"I would never let you live in the streets" Stated Chad and he wrapped his arm around my waist "Why would you say that?"

"Because she was been mean to her best friend, the one who put a roof over her head" Megan uttered a fake sob trying not to laugh and Chad's serious expression.

"Relax, she was playing. She would never kick me out" I gave him a squeeze with my arm.

"I would take you in before I would let you live uncomfortably" He smile down at me and made me blush.

" Slow down wolf boy, it's way too soon for you to be thinking about shacking up. She only just moved in with me and I am not giving her up without a fight. We still have uni to think about"

"I will wait till after high school. I can not promise I can wait till after uni. Now we need to get to class" Chad smiled over his shoulder at Megan as he grabbed my hand and dragged me towards our next class. He pulled out a stool for me and then sat next to me holding my hand. I noticed the glances we were getting but decided to ignore them and live in the moment. I liked the way that Chad made me feel, let the haters hate. The next class was Chemistry and I hated it.

"Ok, class I need you to get into pairs" Ordered the teacher.

Chad grabbed my stool and wrapped his arm around me "mine" he growled

"I don't think you need to worry. No one ever wants to be my partner"

"Why?"

"Because I am not very good at chemistry and I am a freak"

"You are not a freak"

"Trust me, everyone at this school thinks I am"

"Well, then this school must be full of idiots" Chad's voice had a threatening edge to it. He looked around the class and everyone averted his gaze. "You are amazing and should be treated as such" He ran his fingers up my arm leaving a tingly sensation up my arm. I smiled at him and gave him a big hug.

"Thank you" I mumbled while snuggling into his chest. His arms wrapped around me and whispered into my ear.

"I am just speaking the truth, you are so amazing" His voice was starting to get husky. He cleared his throat "We should get on to the experiment" He looked down at the paper that had been put in front of us telling us what we had to do.

I did not need to do anything. I watched as Chad got everything that we needed he then motioned me to sit next to him as he explained everything that he was doing. By the end of the class, I decided that I liked chemistry when I was partnered with Chad.

Chad's POV

I was pissed. how could people at this school think that Jill was a freak? she was amazing. I was struggling to keep my hands off her. When Megan had kissed James before all I wanted was for Jill to kiss me like that. I had fallen for her hard. I hated that I needed to wait till she turned 17 to find out if she was my mate. I know that if she belongs to someone else it would tear me apart. My father kept asking me to bring her back to the pack. he had an idea he knew who her mother was. I wanted to tell her but I didn't know how. She was happy here. she had plans with her friends. I was not sure she was ready to be thrown into pack life. I went through Chemistry talking my way through what I was doing to help Jill understand. I could tell this was a subject she hated. it was one of the only subjects that I was actually good at. As soon as the bell rang to signal class was over I wrapped my arm around Jill's waist. I loved how she fit so perfectly against my side. My father had given me and my friends a month to ease Jill into coming to the pack to visit. That gave us till the end of the term. I was hoping that I could persuade her to come back to the pack for a week of the holidays. She could even bring her friends. I just had to figure out how to bring it up. I pushed the thought from my head as Jill interrupted my thoughts.

"We have a free period next. We are the only ones the others have class. Do you want to grab a coffee?"

"Are you asking me on a date?" my heart fluttered at the thought

Jill looked down and blushed. Damn, she was so innocent. It made me want her even more. I grinned at her and took her hand while leading her toward my car. "I would love to have coffee with you" I opened up the passenger side door for her to climb in. I then jumped over the bonnet and climbed into the driver's seat. Enclosed in the confined space of the car her scent was driving me wild. I had to use all of my self-control to start the car and drive. All I wanted to do was pull her into my lap and I was not sure I would be able to stop at a kiss.

"Why don't we get our coffee to take away and go sit by the river? it should be quiet at this time of the day"

"Sure" was all I could choke out. We were going to be alone. I was not sure if I was excited or nervous.
