Pretend To Be Dead

In the car, Audrey saw Daniel behind her through the windshield. She breathed a sigh of relief that she had managed to leave school early. Otherwise, Daniel would have caught her and Audrey wasn't ready to face him. Maybe she never would have been.

Audrey turned to her daughter and gently stroked her hair with a smile. Alea, who didn't understand the situation her mother was in, gave her the same smile. Their faces were almost identical and Alea had Audrey's signature smile.

"What do you want to eat, Alea?" asked Audrey gently.

"Anything as long as Mommy cooks," Alea said in a sweet tone. Audrey was delighted.

With a smile on her lips, Audrey drove the car at a moderate speed.

Meanwhile at the office.

Daniel has just arrived. He sat down on a chair, then took out his cell phone and watched the license plate number carefully. Luckily, he managed to remember and record the license plate number on his phone.
